I feel or receiver situation is looking better and having Nabers could really help Hiatt but I'm not sold on Robinson. He's got the agility and talent but I'm not a fan of his size. 5'8 is pretty small and a difficult target/catch radius. I think the Giants really need to find a crafty solid vet to pay the slot similar to the Tate pickup. Hope I'm wrong and Robinson becomes a big factor.
He's an ascending player and has not had a true #1 threat to play alongside him. Same goes for Hyatt. These guys getting Nabers in the mix is a huge step up for all of their ability and allows Daboll to be more creative with mismatches.
The Giants did sign a vet as insurance in Isaiah McKenzie.

Yeah that's a big reason I made the post because I've been seeing alot of hype on Robinson around here. I know he can make plays but his size is what is concerning to me. Cruz, Tate and Shepard could still battle for the ball if they didn't outright beat their man. They could play bigger than their size.
I disagree... I think Hyatt has proven himself in his limited opportunities.
Yeah I'm optimistic every year. Really thought last year we were gonna be a solid team but wow that's was a rough season. If anything I'm pretty confident we're going to be better this year.
Yeah he could be a huge factor. Nabers in the slot more with Slayton and Hyatt outside and Robinson running his quick INS and outs
If Nabers is the goods you have him as the line up anywhere true #1 WR, Hyatt as the deep threat, and Wan’Dale as the YAC receiver who can catch 100+ balls and be a third down machine (kind of like Steve Smith for us back in 2007-2008).
Robinson becomes an important playmaker for the Giants, far exceeding the angry predictions of the BBIer who flamed the pick. He is a good NFL player who still has upside. He's succeeding.
BBIer says he's STILL too small and the wide receiver group would be improved by a declining veteran whose only advantage over Robinson is that he's bigger.
(Sigh.)
He's a key reason I'm stoked about the WRs. I have high hopes for Hyatt and expect he'll be a serious weapon at some point but still need to see it. I've already seen it from WDR. He's a stud.
He and Nabers are going to be fun to watch.
Yup. Wan'Dale was coming on very nicely at the end of last season and after a full year post-injury. I'm very excited to see what he can do healthy out of camp with no rehab during the offseason.
CBS recently did a rundown that placed the Giants in the bottom tier of WR groups. Tier 7: Developmental stage.
Of the Giants, they said:
The Giants are building what I view as a fun receiver room if everyone reaches their potential. Similar to Harrison and the Cardinals, Malik Nabers has the ability to turn into a top-10 receiver in the NFL. He'll be the No. 1 option, but the club also has veterans Darius Slayton and Wan'Dale Robinson. Jalin Hyatt showed some flashes as a deep threat during his rookie season but will look for more consistency as he heads into Year 2.

Bingo. Hyatt is a complete unknown. He could be good, bad or somewhere in between. I have next to no doubts about Robinson. He’s already a good player.

worried about Hyatt then I am about a healthy Robinson.

I think Robinson has some potential, but he's diminutive and staying on the field is a major question mark. And when he's been on there, the numbers are not jumping out. Y/R, Succ% are all pretty pedestrian. He looks like more of a gadget than an every week workhorse.
If D.J has the time, I think he can be competitive.. I do believe Nabers is going to be a stud, Hyatt is very capable in his own right
Sure, it's a "developmental" group because the best talent from it is a rookie.
The Giants WR group is better than Washington's.

Maybe by year's end. But Terry McLaurin is the most underrated receiver in the league.

Wandale may be the most underrated receiver in the league. CeeDee Lamb thinks so. He hasn't had a chance to put up numbers yet but he will.
McLaurin’s a terriffic receiver. Model of consistency. Can hurt you for sure. He's the top of the same good WR tier that Slayon's at the bottom of.
As of now the Skins group is "better". We'll see if that lasts, and how long. If I'm right about Nabers, 6 weeks.

Can we not let the slur die?
Commanders will do, or commies if you insist.

we're supposed to take this thread seriously? You are fine with Hyatt who has proven nothing but worried about Robinson who has shown he is pretty damn good. Got it.
I disagree... I think Hyatt has proven himself in his limited opportunities.
It's a good thing when people post contrarian views here.
Your concerns about Robinsons limitations are valid, but I agree with others that his abilities are impressive. I also feel confident he will have a big year.
As for Hyatt, he is still a one trick pony, though, its a very good trick. It seems clear to me that he still has a lot of work to do to be a well- rounded WR.
Finally, a word of advice. If you want to maintain credibility, spell names correctly, especially simple ones.

McLaurin is not in the same tier with Slayton. He has 4 straight 1000 yard seasons and his first season was over 900 yards. I'll grant you that Slayton has been hamstrung by substandard QB play, but so has Scary Terry.

And you get even funnier. You -- Mr. (cherry picked) Stats Tell All -- the top tier of NFL WRs in 2023 had closer to 1,500 yards. It takes 1,200 just to break into top 10. 1,000 yards in 17 games is much different than in 12.
McClaurin was #28 in yards with 1,002 (good thing he got those 2 yards). I take it back - he's not at the very top of the muddled middle. He's just comfortably in the upper portion. Slayton -- in the shitshow that was 2023 -- was smack in the middle of the muddled middle, 18 spots below McLaurin.
I hope so. We'll see how it develops.
Nabers was 80th percentile in catch radius.

Is maybe the dumbest thing I’ve ever read here. Congrats

Why is that? By his own ranking: McLaursin #28. Slayton # 46.
Fuck off.

Strange take.
So of all idiocy here - you choose a good post to single out?
The irony is - your post is now among the dumbest I've read here.
