Was surprised it wasn't posted, I mean I think it's a non-story but it's slowly making it's way around social media it happened on July 4th Video. - ( New Window )
I will say to this is, he better get some people around him with "guidance" ability and perhaps not flaunt your "cash' so openly.. Players get robbed, targeted all the time and posting videos of you flush with cash makes you a bit more "targetable".

Exactly. What would the reaction here be if it was a 20-year-old Cowboys first round draft pick. Not to mention if it's a strip club he's there illegally. You have to be 21 to be in a strip club in Texas.
I must be a fire-breathing maniac! In all seriousness that looks boring as hell. Maybe include some hot women pouring liquor all over or whatever to come close to looking exciting, WTF.
And we as fans don't know much about Nabers yet. He gets the benefit of the doubt for now, although I would understand if someone wants to argue that this isn't necessarily how you want to get your name in the news as a rookie in the down time before your first training camp. I'd categorize this as nothing for now but it might not be nothing before long.
Yeah he looked closer to a guy ready to go home than a guy who was losing control in a strip club. But the headline "Malik Nabers visits strip club" probably doesn't get an many clicks.
But one could say the type of personality that enjoys throwing thousands in the air at strip clubs isn't going to be long on patience for playing on a terrible team.
If you can't picture an OBJ Josina Nabers interview...
RE: RE: RE: RE: young male with money goes to strip club
For the viral videos that one of our best players (hopefully) can be caught up in, a strip club is actually a GOOD outcome.
Right on, if I was 22 or whatever, and had guarantee of a few million bucks, hell I might own a strip club by now.
When I was 22 & had been given millions of dollars, it would have been 50-50 if I made it to my 23rd birthday, Haha.
Right? lol
He's 20, which makes it illegal. So he now has two situations where he used questionable judgment and broke the law. I hope it's not an issue. But a person's actions show you who they really are. Worried about investing so much in a guy who seems to think the rules don't apply to him and wants to prove to people how important he is.

What a disappointing video
1- Why isn't he in a private room with the better service?
2- His pile of money looks like all singles - funny.
The fact that he has bad seats to a bad show is a disappointing. He needs to up his game.
Yeah he looked closer to a guy ready to go home than a guy who was losing control in a strip club. But the headline "Malik Nabers visits strip club" probably doesn't get an many clicks.
This one is in the 'meh' tier. Let's reconvene if this becomes a pattern that keeps him from performing on the field.
This one is closer to jaywalking in my book
I think he looks like an innocent kid who is not used to that scene - which is refreshing (or maybe he is used to a better scene - good for him)
RE: RE: RE: young male with money goes to strip club
Namers has been blessed with enormous on field talent, which has translated into life changing wealth at a relatively young age. Now he has to decide how he lives his life, who he runs with, and what he does with his money. There are countless examples on both sides of the ledger for him to learn from.
In all seriousness, I wish Nabers wasn't "making it rain" @ a strip club, but he's 20. If this is the worst thing he's doing, he'll be fine. Again, if I was 20 & had just been handed a bag of cash equaling in the millions, I'd be doing a helluva lot worse than this. I ensure you of that.
I will say to this is, he better get some people around him with "guidance" ability and perhaps not flaunt your "cash' so openly.. Players get robbed, targeted all the time and posting videos of you flush with cash makes you a bit more "targetable".

Give me a break dude. If they serve alcohol they check your ID. If he got in, he is old enough to be there. Or someone at the door is getting fired.

He's not 21 yet. Someone at the door getting fired doesn't mean he isn't there illegally. It's illegal for anyone under 21 to be in an adult entertainment business in Texas. Doesn't have anything to do with alcohol.
It's kind of funny that so many here ripped the WRs who went to Miami during the bye week before the playoffs but an underaged rookie illegally in a strip club throwing a pile of cash around three weeks before the start of training camp doesn't raise red flags? Again, what would the reaction be if it was the Cowboys first round pick. People here would be crucifying them for taking another bad character guy.
Maybe I'm crazy (yes I just opened the door for some dumb-a$$ comments), but I like my first round picks and future leaders of the team to have some class. You can slice and dice this any way you like but it's not a good look.
And I know some of you that are fine with it now will bring it up the first time he runs a wrong route or drops a pass.
There is nothing wrong with going. He did nothing wrong. It’s perfectly legal. He wasn’t out of control. This isn’t a pac man jones type of thing. The dude is allowed to have his fun.
To video yourself doing this is bad judgement. I’m sorry but it is. You hope that it’s not the first of many bad judgements.

Yeah, I'd rather him be spending his weekends volunteering at the local YMCA. But I'm a realist. He's a 20 YOA kid who is having fun. We've all been there. Again, if this is the worst he does, this is nothing.

A 20-year-old kid who was just given a $30 million contract. If someone paid me $30 million to be the best football player I can be, I'd understand that comes with different expectations and responsibilities than someone getting $75k to work as an accountant.
Pretty sure that when kids get drafted into the NFL

The are 18+ strip clubs at least in NJ. Not sure if this was one of those but you don't have to be 21.
Again, he went to a strip club & was throwing $ around. Was it the best look? Of course not. Do I wish he had been sitting at home studying the playbook? Of course.
I'm just not going to freak out over this. If he's doing this shit on a Wednesday in September, I'll be concerned.
& this becoming a story might be good for him in the long run. I gotta imagine Dabs learns of this & sits him down about this. Nabers-from what I've seen of him-seems like a good kid who gets it.
And right after Mini camp he is with a rapper in a strip club in Houston.
Let's not act like we drafted a choir boy and yes the chargers were dropped as long as the gun was not returned to Nabers.
Hell no! If Malik Nabers wants to toss around some money in a strip club, let him!
He's a young man with a ton of $$$$.
Did going to strip clubs ever get in the way of other famous players on the field?
And right after Mini camp he is with a rapper in a strip club in Houston.

THIS! You and I are not Malik Nabers. He's a millionaire because he has a unique gift and with that comes responsibility to be a leader, at least to some degree. These guys have literally just been warned by the league, by their teams, and a week later he's at a strip club. You can sugar coat it but I don't like it.

I live in Missouri a constitutional carry state. He was in Louisiana were you need a permit to conceal carry which he did not have
Quote:
“Based upon the lack of a previous criminal background and the individual currently being enrolled in college, we did not proceed with the misdemeanor gun-carrying charge against him at this time in exchange for his immediate and voluntary forfeiture of the firearm," the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s office said in a statement.
Quote:
police said they asked whether Nabers had a permit, and when he told them he did not, they handcuffed him, took him to jail and booked him with illegal carrying of a weapon. The gun was put into evidence
Has anyone confirmed where this is and it was in fact illegal?
Area 29 in Houston is 21+ and over that is the club he was at obviously he is only 20... Not sure it really means much. The rapper he was with was 26.
I don't think anyone would pursue it
If he wants to piss his money away before 30 not my problem. I won't judge him for being at the club underage cause I did things when I was a teen and many here did as well.
As long as he doesn't break the law, cause issues with the team and excels at his job oh and his shoes fit....I am good

Maybe it was a private event and does that change the age restrictions?
I couldn't care less he was there, he's like 20.99999 years old. Just curious.
What's wrong is he was in a strip club illegally throwing piles of cash in the air. And it doesn't matter he was only a month shy of 21. You don't get to tell the bouncer, "hey, I'll be 21 in a month so let me in." It's an indication of character. And soon he'll have all the distrations of NYC. Would you want that person representing your company, especially after you just gave him $30 million guaranteed with $18 million up front? After a previous arrest for carrying a gun illegally? How'd that work out for Burress?
I hope none of this matters and he ends up being a longtime Giant star who never gets in trouble. But it's not a good sign. How many other draft picks have shown up in videos making it rain a month before camp starts? I like Nabers' ability more than Odunze's. But I'm betting, based on the reports about his character, that Odunze is focused 100 percent on preparing for camp, and working to be the best he can be.
And again, if this was the Cowboys' top pick, I have no doubt the reaction here would be much different.

You must be a ton of fun at parties. Do you have a crane to pull out that giant stick up your ass? A 20 year old was at a STRIP CLUB ILLEGALLY! THINK OF THE CHILDREN! You're treating this as if he raped someone. Who the fuck cares? It's a fucking strip club. He'll be 21 in 20 days will what he did go from horrible illegal act to ok in 20 days? Seriously, Jesus Christ.
What a terrible mindset. Blame the poster because he may not be a
party guy. Nabers can be a great guy and a pro on the field but is it hard to align to the idea you would rather not see him in that environment?
I'm blaming him for being a square I don't care if he's a party guy. Like seriously, dude turns 21 in 20 days. Use some common sense, it's really not that big of a deal. Something being illegal doesn't automatically make it immoral and this is not something that will get him into trouble, it's completely innocuous. Will it be A ok in 20 days but not now?
Also, I don't care about the environment, produce on the field

100% this. It's a sign of his character. I want better from my 30 million dollar players.

Not caught up on the age thing. But illegal is illegal. His look on that video would have been same if he was 20, 25, 30 or 35…bad.
think some of you guys need a wake up call on how players (20-30 year old men in their athletic prime) are well aware that their status gives them the ability to score at will with women. If you go to any bar frequented by the players at former training camp sites (Albany for example). These are the exact opposite of choir boys. If you're looking for moral heroes, you might want to look someplace else.
Good for him. He's young, rich, famous and having fun. Meanwhile Rome Odunze can't even make it rain, because he hasn't signed his deal yet. But if he had, he'd be donating those singles to a butterfly conservatory, I guarantee it.
There is a wide range between looking to an NFL player on your
party guy. Nabers can be a great guy and a pro on the field but is it hard to align to the idea you would rather not see him in that environment?

Because bad things never happen at strip clubs and they're all full of men on the up and up.
Look up the Electric Blue in CT and tell me it's innocuous
RE: There is a wide range between looking to an NFL player on your
Favorite team as a hero versus just hoping a high profiled player can keep his head on straight for a few years and be a reliable asset.
I don’t have any heros in the NFL. Do you?
I get it. It would be better if he were home studying the playbook
C’mon he’s 20, just made a pile of cash and has a break from work
Should he be in hotel room with a pile of blow and hookers because it’s more discrete?
To be goin all Plaxico…..how bout you make an nfl first down reception before you go tossing all them mara/tisch bucks into the pussified air at a skanky strip club….”Son…y’all gotta do better than that….”
interesting is those who preach tolerance seem to be the most intolerant people.
In all things.
Football players going to strip clubs wasn't even news 50 years ago (unless they shot themselves). These days? Nice trip clubs draw a mixed crowd. My older's 30ish friends have bachelorette parties at mens clubs. It's become mainstream entertainment. THere's nothing to see here.
And the money? Looks like $500 in ones. Big deal. Eric, remember Erols? He and his son would hit Archibalds (filled with politicians and their staff) weekly with a few stacks. That made for excellent service, but wasn't even excessive back in the day. In 2024 with $1,000 table/bottle service? Table stakes.
I've never had a favorite player, but Nabers is quickly approaching that. I hope he pulls a stack of dollars out of his sock and makes it risk after his first TD.
This thread went exactly how I thought it would. Bunch of pretentious clowns losing their shit over a 20 year old going to a strip club.
“What a disgusting pig! A danger to society! I spent my early 20’s playing backgammon on the weekends with the family while watching I Love Lucy! Sundays were spent in the church choir and afterwards we’d get together and sip sweet tea! That’s how it’s done young man!”—- BBI Fraudsters
No matter where you come down on this issue, it simply is not a great look for the #6 overall selection in the NFL Draft.
Only if we had more Daniel Jones.
(See you make any thread about Daniel Jones).
Didn't LT admit to paying strippers for his opponents ahead of games? This community loves the 1986 & 1990 teams, especially LT. What are we doing here?
Some of the opinionated “saints” that are upset over this enjoyed a fine night of lap dances right before getting married to the one they supposedly loved. It’s ok to have some strangers titties mashed in your face when you have a fiancé sitting at home planning the wedding but if you play for my favorite team, it’s just a bridge too far. Show some class, man!
And I'm sure many of those unhappy with the behavior do not go to strip clubs. It's also fair to say that if Nabers spent his time in church, working out and studying the playbook - it would be good for his career.
That said, maybe not. Nabers was drafted for his "dawg" mentality. Dawgs like a good strip club every once in a while.
I'm not calling anyone here a hypocrite, but I will say that what a player does on his time off is his business. We are fans of the team he plays for, not his parents. And many parents here would have no problem with their 20 year old son going to s strip club. People and their sensibilities are different. Can't we just leave it at that.
and to stem off comments. Yes, he has an obligation to represent the team well, but he's a newly rich 20 year old in the prime of his life. A stupidly taken and disseminated video is the problem here.
Not 21, but not a big deal there and not the morality police.
That said, is it a good choice? How many times have we read stories that referenced a strip club after midnight in setting the scene for whatever was taking place. People getting shot, fights, drugs, and various other "issues".
A basic rule of being young and rich is to stay away from people and places that attract trouble. He has a huge target on his back. It is easy to be drawn into bad situations even if you are a good kid.
FWIW - If he MUST do this he has enough $$ to rent out a back room where nobody is filming.

Don't know what club he is at, but it is not illegal for an 18 year old to be in a strip club. It is illegal for them to be in a bar. So if no alcohol is served then not illegal.
I am not overly concerned with him being at a strip club
I find it morally objectionable but spend zero of my life worrying about other people's morally objectionable behavior. I only have to worry about mine. And that is enough of a battle.
The stacks make me a little more nervous since it seems so dumb. His money, he can do what he wants. But flashing cash and throwing it away seems dangerous and foolish. Bad decision making is often not limited to one area of life.
heh just so ajr
Was hoping to see some t'n'a' on the clip
a great deal of high minded morality heaped on to a 21 year old--wasn't me at that age or a bunch older
Not 21, but not a big deal there and not the morality police.

Yup - my criticisms were no private room and big wad of singles
was Saquon's golf coach when he stated with the Giants. Told me after his lesson one day he asked my buddy to hit the stip clubs with him. I think his GF was pregnant at the time. I was also down at AC last year when Barkley was there two nights before a game gambling till late in the night.
If you don't think most of these guys are hitting strip clubs and much worse you are totally delusional.

Exactly. His "stupidity" was not that he went to a strip club - it was not being discreet, allowing the video to get out there, wad of singles...
Guys like Saquon, Jeter...they aren't better (necessarily) humans, they are just more careful and smarter
As long as he didn't shoot himself going into the club
He wasn’t acting crazy or anything. Was he under 21? Yes. I went to many bars, clubs & strip clubs when I was under 21. I see it as a normal young adult stuff.
It’s not ideal for him to be there but it’s not something to be up in arms about.
The kid seems like a great player and hard worker. Let’s not paint him in a bad light over something like this. He is just dancing and enjoying himself. People need to lighten up.

Problem? WOW. The only problem here is people deciding to make an issue because you have issues with it. Get it straight, THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM. You are making it an issue. Take the soap box and kick rocks.

Right on, if I was 22 or whatever, and had guarantee of a few million bucks, hell I might own a strip club by now.
When I was 22 & had been given millions of dollars, it would have been 50-50 if I made it to my 23rd birthday, Haha.
Right? lol
Yeah he looked closer to a guy ready to go home than a guy who was losing control in a strip club. But the headline "Malik Nabers visits strip club" probably doesn't get an many clicks.
If you can't picture an OBJ Josina Nabers interview...

He's 20, which makes it illegal. So he now has two situations where he used questionable judgment and broke the law. I hope it's not an issue. But a person's actions show you who they really are. Worried about investing so much in a guy who seems to think the rules don't apply to him and wants to prove to people how important he is.
His only mistake was not telling someone in his inner circle to put their phone away.
Not at all saying you shouldn't post it, but since you were wondering.
Good point.
What a disappointing video
1- Why isn't he in a private room with the better service?
2- His pile of money looks like all singles - funny.
The fact that he has bad seats to a bad show is a disappointing. He needs to up his game.
Hope he produces enough on the field to go there 7 days a week!

I went crazy on House of the Dragon lastnight
This one is closer to jaywalking in my book
I think he looks like an innocent kid who is not used to that scene - which is refreshing (or maybe he is used to a better scene - good for him)

Which is a concern I doubt the Giants and their fans don't want to have to worry about with the top draft pick.

Sorry for the double negative, my mistake: should read 'a concern I doubt the Giants and their fans want to have to worry about.'

Exactly. What would the reaction here be if it was a 20-year-old Cowboys first round draft pick. Not to mention if it's a strip club he's there illegally. You have to be 21 to be in a strip club in Texas.
Oh no, he saw some tits at 20. Lock him up and throw away the keys!

And I know some of you that are fine with it now will bring it up the first time he runs a wrong route or drops a pass.
To video yourself doing this is bad judgement. I’m sorry but it is. You hope that it’s not the first of many bad judgements.
And it ain't even training camp yet!

Yeah, I'd rather him be spending his weekends volunteering at the local YMCA. But I'm a realist. He's a 20 YOA kid who is having fun. We've all been there. Again, if this is the worst he does, this is nothing.
In college, I remember chicks having no problem with their fake IDs getting into bars & clubs, but us dudes? Haha. No chance in hell.

A 20-year-old kid who was just given a $30 million contract. If someone paid me $30 million to be the best football player I can be, I'd understand that comes with different expectations and responsibilities than someone getting $75k to work as an accountant.

The are 18+ strip clubs at least in NJ. Not sure if this was one of those but you don't have to be 21.
Let's not act like we drafted a choir boy and yes the chargers were dropped as long as the gun was not returned to Nabers.
He's a young man with a ton of $$$$.
Did going to strip clubs ever get in the way of other famous players on the field?

He was in Louisiana were you need a permit to conceal carry which he did not have
Or maybe Antonio Btown can mentor him?
This story is dumb.
Area 29 in Houston is 21+ and over that is the club he was at obviously he is only 20... Not sure it really means much. The rapper he was with was 26.
I don't think anyone would pursue it

As long as he doesn't break the law, cause issues with the team and excels at his job oh and his shoes fit....I am good

Not caught up on the age thing. But illegal is illegal. His look on that video would have been same if he was 20, 25, 30 or 35…bad.
But you party on dude. Blame everybody else.

I get it. It would be better if he were home studying the playbook

Stay in denial, Eric. When this all blows up ala OBJ, Toney, Baker, T. Hill, get back to me.
How can you walk around any urban centre? Must be shocking, every day.
Cranky old men around here.

Didn't LT admit to paying strippers for his opponents ahead of games? This community loves the 1986 & 1990 teams, especially LT. What are we doing here?
Based on your moral compass. That’s it. Everyone else sees it for what it is, a nothing burger.

The stacks make me a little more nervous since it seems so dumb. His money, he can do what he wants. But flashing cash and throwing it away seems dangerous and foolish. Bad decision making is often not limited to one area of life.
Was hoping to see some t'n'a' on the clip
a great deal of high minded morality heaped on to a 21 year old--wasn't me at that age or a bunch older

Nothing to see here.
It's all about having someone in your so-called circle videotaping something they knew would get views. What does that say about that "friend?"
The world is a different place than even a decade ago. He's a brand now, in the NYC area. Have fun. Just be smart/cautious.
