I know from time to time we post healthy snack ideas. I'll through in my .02 here.
Lately, for dessert I've been mixing Faye 0% milkfat greek yogurt with a scoop of chocolate whey protein powder (no sugar) and putting it in the freezer when I start dinner. By dessert it *almost* tastes just like chocolate ice cream and satisfies the sugar craving w/ minimal calories, fat, and sugar while delivering a whopper protein boost.
For breakfast I use the same type of yogurt, throw in some walnuts, blueberries, vanilla extract, chia seeds, cinnamon and maybe 1/8 of a banana.
Now I'm going to get a calzone bc I'm hungry as shit.
What protein do you use? I’m finishing up my Gold standard whey and moving to one with less artificial ingredients - currently trying the Earth Fed Muscle Ca-Cow and it only has 4 ingredients. Like it a lot more.
I get a discount b/c my buddy is a trainer there and it tastes pretty decent.
Jarrow makes an unflavored, clean whey protein too.
I don't like all the crap flavoring in it.
Cottage Cheese, collagen powder, splash pure maple syrup, vanilla extract, almond milk = Ice Cream.
Add in fruit to make flavored ice cream.
game changer. cannot recommend enough once you lock down a base recipe.
+ cut up dates
+ cut up peacons
+ honey

Sounds delish, but for me the dates+honey add a little too much sugar.
My kids ages 2, 5 and 7 all love them and they are healthy. I’ve been eating some too. It satisfies that ice cream urge in the summer.

Open up a date, add Peanutbutter and dip in chocolate - basically a healthy snickers.

+1. I've been using cream cheese to make ice cream. cottage cheese sounds even healthier.

I switched to vegan protein for my stomach, and the chocolate peanut butter from Planta is perfect for these. I never thought I'd buy a vegan protein powder but the flavors are amazing.
4 tbsps Greek yogurt
4 tbsps to taste preferred sweetener
Blend in processor until smooth
Freeze and enjoy

I used to put a ton of cinnamon in unflavored greek yogurt (and some granola).
This is how I do it. Full fat everything. Healthy fats, like tallow and butter, are fine. I eat a ton of beef/pork/lamb, avoid ultraprocessed seed oils, avoid sugar, and have cut way back on my beer consumption. I eat a carb like rice maybe once a week or every 10 days.
I've lost 30 lbs and have kept it off, and my brother, who saw my results, took the diet up and lost 65 lbs (admittedly, he's a bigger guy than me). This was over the course of a year.
Anti-fat thinking is so out of date it's not funny. Does more harm than good in my opinion.
For me anyway, non fat yogurt gives minimal saturated fat but loads of protein. YMMV
