by combined AAV:
2023 = 19th, but with the 6th most injured
2022 = 28th, but with the 9th least injured

For Example
Jalen Hurts = cap hit of 13 mil this year, but has a void year in 2029 with a cap hit of 97.5 Million
Almost meaningless.
Holding people accountable? Just hire the right people. If the right HC is here 1-2 bad years shouldn't change that. 1-2 bad years doesn't necessarily mean they can't coach or GM. Look for progress. Is the roster improving. Is the team getting closer even if it's not linear growth.
McAdoo was fired after 3 bad months. Parcells wasn't fired after one entirely bad season. Dick Vermeil got suffered 2 bad seasons before 1999 if memory serves. Campbell in DET didn't win right away before year 3.
Not to say I am convinced about Daboll yet but ownership needs to be careful with firing guys every time something goes south here. That approach can makes things worse.
. If Jones sucks we go to Lock and Schoen gets a QB in 2025
Jones $48M, AT $23M, Slayton $8M - $79M
Hurts $13M, Mailata $16M, Brown $12M - $41M
We have a $40M QB in his 6th season, an All-Pro caliber LT, a veteran/competent RB, a lottery pick WR, other young WR prospects with promise, and a revamped OL with quality experience.
Now it's time for the players to execute. Because I am confident Daboll will put the players in position to succeed.
There is nothing more to say.
