Heard from someone reliable that there’s a good shot he may make the team as the last WR
Maybe not a wild thought

That he can actually make the team, anything is possible to be sure.
Absolute locks (3)
Nabers
Hyatt
Robinson
Near Locks or Trade:
Slayton (only tradeable, practically uncuttable)
Olszewski (450k dead)
Hodgins (375k dead)
So those are the likely first 6, if Asante is potentially 7th
Notable Cuts:
Miles Boykin (120k dead)
Isaiah McKenzie (75k dead)
Allen Robinson (25k dead)
IMO they have to keep 7 in order for this to work, whereas they kept 6 last year.

To figure Asante's biggest competition is McKenzie and to a point, Gunner.
I feel like Hodgins is battling but I'm not sure who, since he doesn't offer much as a ST'er. Same goes for Allen Robinson.
Boykin and Ford-Wheaton are fighting for one spot themselves.
Nabers, Wan'Dale, Hyatt, Slayton, open competition after
Slayton is a lock

It’s wide open after that. Any of the other receivers could take the last couple of spots.

he's a talent -- but he's a raw talent that needs work -- he's practice squad material

PS seems like a given at this point per the source.

^This. I wouldn't be surprised to see Asante and BFW as the last two WRs.

People weren’t too high on him. Thought it was more of a local guy / camp body that they were giving a shot. Would be a great story. Watching hi film , he certainly has some twitch and ability to make guys miss.
