Lost the most in the offseason, are the teams struggling, which makes sense. Fl. State, losing their star Qb, running back, too 2 stud wide receivers, 2 first round Defensive linemen and more is just too much to overcome.
Same thing with Michigan, that offense looks like they are back to square 1.
would think that FSU would be good this year. But they lost so many players to the NFL, I knew they would be mediocre at best. They were a very heavy senior team last year. Their backup QB left on a NIL deal.
This is a rebuild year. I think by the end of the year they will be better, but this is a pretty green team.
He’s definitely a problem and as bad as he was,I think their D is an even bigger problem.
Failed getting a big stop almost every time last night and gave up over 200 yds rushing.
The defense is definitely a problem and after the line TD they gave up the big drive but they also kept them in the game after the two failed red zone trips and the interception to start the half.
Hopefully this is a cautionary tale for teams who think bringing in NIL mercenaries is an answer for missing on high school recruiting.
Such a good game plan. I re-watched the 1993 ND versus Florida State 'game of the century' that had happened the week prior, then the BC - Notre Dame upset.
Notre Dame's defense was obviously exhausted from chasing Charlie Ward, Warrick Dunn, and the Noles' horizontal passing attack the week prior. The plan worked but started to get shaky in the 2nd half.
So Coughlin has his BC team go full Air Coryell on them: power runs, seam passes, go routes. The Notre Dame defense (featuring several future NFL players) was just completely cooked.
I've always though Coughlin has some issues keeping his teams consistent over a 16-game season, but it terms of a one-off big game coach, he was one of the best to do it.
they looked really physical on both sides of the ball. The FSU QB though, oof. I thought the Noles WR Poitier looked really good, if only he had someone who could get him the ball!
Direct TV and Disney are fighting. Disney being greedy assholes, basically. DTV will cave, and hopefully it's soon so we can watch MNF.

DC for BC, not FSU. Bill O'Brien brought him on. Lewis had the BC defense ready to play!

Putting it all on the QB is very short sighted.
But it looks like it will be a frustrating season for my Noles - sucks
lol
And they are both named DJ
How'd that work out for them, LOL
Uiagalelei has been a disaster.
Kudos to Billy O'Brien. One of the few from the Belichick coaching tree who has been good everywhere he's coached.
Could definitely see this happening..
I don't know what's worse...
The thought of O'Brien being the next Giants HC or..

I'm still bullish on Dabo, but O'Brien can coach. Underrated.
The crowd starting chanting for Brock Glenn before halftime LOL. I guess he is a highly rated freshman QB

Damn, that's a flashback.
