CB Dru Phillips, who is questionable with a calf injury, is going through a pregame workout. Daboll, DB coach Jerome Henderson and head strength coach Aaron Wellman are observing. Seems like a bad idea to push a rookie DB through a calf injury if there are any questions.

Giants-Seahawks pregame thoughts:
• The notion that the Giants have no chance without Malik Nabers is overblown. This is the NFL. Teams win games without star players every week. This is a comparable skill group that played the Seahawks last season, but with an improved O-line. Granted, they only scored three points in that game, but they can't use Nabers' absence as an excuse to not be able to score today. The Broncos and Patriots each scored 20 points against Seattle this season.
• Now, I'm not saying I think the Giants have much of a chance today. That's because I think Seattle is a bad matchup even when the Giants are at full strength. I know what Minnesota and Washington are doing, but this is the most dynamic offense the Giants have faced this season. Seattle's wide receivers have a huge advantage over the Giants' DBs. And even though it's a different coaching staff, this Seattle defense has suffocated the Giants the past two seasons.
• The Seahawks will bring back some bad memories for Brian Daboll and Daniel Jones. Jones threw a killer 97-yard pick-six in last season's matchup, with rookie corner Devon Witherspoon saying he knew Jones liked to stare down his first read, which helped him jump the route. That led to Daboll's infamous disgusted tablet flip on the sideline.
• I'll be monitoring how well Jones is moving today. He was hobbling through the locker room after Thursday's practice. I didn't hear of any injury and he looked better on Friday, so maybe he just did a heavy leg day in the weight room. But it's something to at least keep an eye on, as he is still working back from a torn ACL. Everyone always says they don't feel fully back to normal for a while after returning.
• I expect Tyrone Tracy to be the No. 1 RB and Eric Gray to rotate in with Devin Singletary out. I would be surprised if Dante Miller has much of a role on offense (and I expect the kick returners to be Gray and Ihmir Smith-Marsette).
• I know there's a lot of anticipation about a potential Jalin Hyatt breakout with Nabers out. But realistically, a Hyatt breakout just comes down to him catching one or two deep balls. I expect Darius Slayton to see the biggest target increase in Nabers' absence, with Isaiah Hodgins also figuring to get opportunities in the red zone.
• Can copy and paste this defensive blue print every week: The pass rush needs to dominate a suspect offensive line to give the Giants a chance. Seattle is shaky at every spot aside from LT, so there will be mismatches to exploit. They need to figure out a way to free up Dexter Lawrence from the constant double teams he's facing (more stunts?) and the edge rusher matched up with Seattle's third-string RT needs to make game-changing plays like Brian Burns' strip sack against Cleveland.
• Geno Smith is playing with a ridiculous amount of confidence. He's excellent at navigating the pocket and he'll rip throws into tight windows. If he has time, the Giants have no chance of matching up with Seattle's talent on the perimeter.
• This is a big week for Deonte Banks. He got called out by DB coach Jerome Henderson for his lack of effort on CeeDee Lamb's touchdown last week. And it's generally been a rough second season covering opposing No. 1 WRs.
DK Metcalf is as tough a matchup as any WR. Seattle will exploit Banks' weakness of not finding the ball because Geno will fire it to Metcalf even if he's covered. Banks held up well while traveling with Metcalf last season, allowing only three catches for 34 yards. But one of those catches was a 6-yard TD when Metcalf used late hands to school Banks, who was in tight coverage but had no idea the ball was zipping past him.
It's impossible to replicate the size (6-4, 235) and speed (4.33 40) of Metcalf in practice. But Bryce Ford-Wheaton (6-3, 220, 4.38) gave as good a look as possible this week in practice. Banks has said that Metcalf talked the most trash during his rookie season. I heard the coaches had Ford-Wheaton go after Banks after the whistle during practices to get the corner ready for the chippy matchup.
• I don't say this as a criticism, but Kenneth Walker plays like a high school RB. He just looks like the fastest, most athletic player on the field so he makes seemingly bad decisions to bounce runs or cut all the way across the field, but he makes it work (5.7 yards per carry). The Giants' run defense has done well against two bad rushing offenses since getting shredded by Washington. Walker will be a major challenge to their run fits and tackling. The players on the back side better be disciplined or he'll break a long one by reversing field.

These always put body language reading skills to the test. It seemed like it was positive when Phillips finished, but then there was an extended huddle with Daboll, Henderson, Wellman, Joe Schoen, Shane Bowen and rehab director Leigh Weiss. Don't think a lengthy meeting would be necessary if it was all systems go. So my guess is either inactive or active in a limited role
when the opposition has the ball, forcing a silent count the entire game. I fully expect repeated offside calls (receivers, running backs, O-line leaving early). Couple this with Jones not being able to find a secondary receiver and not being able to hit a downfield receiver. Offensively, it will be ugly.

You, and many others, seem to over look the fact that the Giants defense is not very good, they still can not stop the run or defense the TE. The defense got carved up by San Darnold who was 14 or 32 today so we can look forward to Geno Smith to have a huge day. The blame for the Giants failures are not tall on Daniele Jones' shoulders!

Mike Kafka is walking laps around the field with Leslie Frazier, who is the Seahawks' assistant head coach. Kafka has been stopped by a few Seahawks staffers for greetings. Kafka had two interviews for Seattle's head coaching vacancy this offseason, and their request for an OC interview was denied by the Giants.
I find it depressing this place is dead before a game like ths
Where the Giants are playing for their season. About 80% of this board has already given up on the year. Really sad. I mantain if the Giants had Phillips and Jackson last week, they would have beaten the Cowboys in a low scoring game. They can do it today.

Why would fans want to keep subjecting themselves to this shit?

If the Giants had won last week and they were 2-2, what would the board be like today? It's like people completely ignore the fact the Giants were going up against an experienced passing attack and an elite receiver minus two starters in the secondary. Injuries matter.
With Nabers out, I expect Seattle will crowd the LOS to stop whatever limited run game we have, most of which will likely be runs straight into the LOS, especially on first down. We need to instead come out throwing, with play action. Feature the TEs. Nobody would expect that, since they have essentially been invisible the whole season.
The fact that Burns and KT have not been dominant despite Lawrence getting double teamed on almost every play shows how ineffective they have been. One of the main reasons for trading for Burns was to make teams pay for continually doubling Lawrence.

The season was over 2 weeks ago brother.
It would be silly to maintain hope at this point. We've seen this movie before.
But it’s no surprise. It seems like season after season, we see the same thing.
Giants are 1-3 and 1-4 and 1-5 then maybe win a game or two and lose a bunch more so we are 3-9. They then win 2 or 3 straight and end the season 6-11 and the 10th pick in the draft.
Rinse, repeat.
Washington definitely tanked last season, trading away their ER’s, lose a ton and now have a young, exciting QB.
I said it all offseason…I don’t think the Giants ownership/FO realize how done the fan base is with Jones and that it would ugly early if they started off slow. I don’t think you needed to be Nostradamus to predict it easy. It was staring at me on the wall.
Nope. They recognize the mess at QB. I predicted the apathy back in November with my Daniel Jones article. Fans are done.
I get the Daniel Jones apathy. I'm just saying not all losses are created equal. The Giants offense didn't play well enough last week either. I get it. But that was a game to be won because the Cowboys didn't play well either outside of one homerun play. Maybe that home run would have been prevented if all the starters were in.

all in all - there wont be much for awhile on teh giants barring embarssing ass kickings.
^This. Many Giants fans also follow other sports teams. The Yankees and Mets are in the playoffs. The Rangers, Devils, and Knicks are starting their seasons. All are credible teams, especially the Knicks, who many fans rightly hope can challenge Boston this year. Many people also follow college teams.
People only have a limited amount of time to watch and follow sports teams. Those that play well will be prioritized. Those like the Giants that don't will likely be abandoned, at least for the rest of the season.
Wants the Giants to lose but I can honestly say I do NOT want that. You have to start winning games even with all plus being a new QB going forward.
It appears Washington will keep winning but so many other teams are middling teams that a consistent Giants team could turn things around quickly.
If they don't win today and they look bad losing this season could turn ugly quickly.
I still don't get how some fans want to win meaningless games, just for 24 hours of excitement.
We did that last year and it cost us one of the top QBs
No point in winning 5 or 6 games every year. We need to take as many Ls as possible, so we can get out of QB hell
Tou make no sense! None! It is week 5. This isn't hoping we can beat Carolina. I wonder how any of you watch and root for your team in any game that isn't the championship.
But whatever.. I am sure the Giants won meaningless games in 2011, 2006, 2022, 1981, 1984...

If your once favorite restaurant for twenty years starts to have inconsistent food and service, do you keep going?
If they lose to the Bengals next week, I would like to have Jones sit and Lock play. Not because I think the Giants will win with Lock, but rather if Lock is able to move the chains and hit a few downfield receivers, we will have confirmation that Jones is simply lost. True, his trade value will go to zero, but so be it.

Whats most concerning on Hawkins is how the Giants coaching staff thought they actually had a starting CB in him
Also of note is Boogie Basham who Schoen helped draft in Buffalo and thought enough of him to trade for despite him greatly disappointing there. He has been even more useless here

While it's currently a complete unknown, St Johns basketball might be thrown into the mix of teams to watch this year, though mostly only the non-conference schedule while the Giants play out their season.
I cant keep watching this tragedy go on any longer. He just puts his head down and runs. THe worst thing is, if he gets hurt, that contract will bite us in the azz hard.
Just keep him out of there please for the love of god.
Will be the first team to have a safety lineup 30 yards behind the line of scrimmage whenever their offense is inside the 10 in order to prevent TDs on turnovers.
The Jets found Allen in the 4th round, and we have a guy from the 5th round last year who can't break a tackle from the 1 on 3rd down and then fumbles on 4th down.
Think the Giants QB can overcome this latest setback? I’m just curious how confident you are in his ability to not only come back, but keep the Giants competitive.
RE: This teams problems are so much worse than the QB
that was a Giants TD. The ball was well over the plane. They don't have a thick white goal line, which might make it harder. But, the ball was over the line before he lost it. To me, it wasn't even close or in question.
One pass to a wr, besides the slayton one that was at the line of scrimmage. While joe Flacco is busy throwing for 500 yards. This offense is completely incapable. Gross.
I think it’s pretty clear that the tip of the ball crossed the white line. When you are a bad team you just don’t have calls go your way. Plus just hold on to the damn ball and you wouldn’t have this problem.
designed runs by Jones are predictable and used far too often. They aren't even that effective anymore. Jones isn't the runner he was at the start of this career.
. People acting like a new QB will change anything are just moving onto scapegoats at this point
Jones is a symptom, not the problem.
He is 100% the problem. When you need 18 plays to score a TD because your QB never throws more than 5 yards, eventually something bad happens. You can’t run your entire offense within 5 yards of LOS.
Some weird curse against us. Like losing that Jets game last year. Drops of easy passes. Bad calls. Fumbles. Injuries. Missed passes. It is almost like the pressure is getting to them and they make so many mistakes.

Bad teams lose that way. When you dont make enough plays to win, one call or mistake will result in a loss.
The Giants need everything to go well to BARELY squeak out a win. They have to go without turnovers, the defense has to play well and get turnovers, and the other team has to shoot themselves in the foot.
RE: RE: I'm not going to waste my time with this game, but
But how exactly are the two plays at the goal line his fault? Most coaches would have called something similar. The line got no push and they fumbled. IMO that’s not on him.
I have an existential crisis when I watch this offense
I find those of you who are using the opening quarter as some sort of strange defense of Jones to be really comical.
Shut up… the fucking Jones bashing is so over the top. If you aren’t wasting your time with the game get the fuck out
Forget your meds today?
Every thread and post… it gets so old to me. Like if people don’t come here to bash Jones they are going to kick their dogs with how much aggression they post about him. Enough already. Talk about something else if they can.

I do think Dabol would do good without an utterrly shitty QB at his disposal
Jones was “fine” that drive, no doubt. But it’s clear we can’t stretch the field with Jones. He’s too limited. Yeah he might have success here or there, but overall he is the main problem, still. IMO.
RE: RE: RE: I'm not going to waste my time with this game, but
Refs are controlling the outcomes of games now and I’m not convinced gambling has nothing to do with it. And that was a td by Gray; game should be 14-0.
Ball never made it back to the los, he was out of the tackle box. Clear grounding
Not a great one. A good one. He has been trashed here far too long. And Tracy needs to be RB 1 for the rest of the season.
I think he is good with good protection and WRs catching the ball… average with some drops and average protection and horrible if he doesn’t have time. So maybe you can say he is an average QB… we need better
Are having a terrible game. It just took one costly but characteristic Giants mistake to flip the game, but you gotta admit it's impressive that they came back to tie it up.
RE: We are completely outplaying the Seahawks so far
such a basic stupid thing. and every game our RBs have handed other teams the ball in situations where we had points. not even counting the special teams play against cleveland (which was also gray).
I think if they can draft a QB and add a few pieces next year they could really head in the right direction. I actually like the draft picks that have been added to this team. Yes Schoen has made some mistakes but overall he hasn’t done a terrible job. Daboll has been limited because of QB and in a way I would like to see him with someone else. If they move on from him it wouldn’t bother me that much. Still to early in the season to decide that. I would keep Schoen though.

I agree… I would like a new QB, maybe a stud TE, RB, CB, and DT. More than I expected but better than any other season the last 10 years ish
Another failing of Schoen. He's had three seasons to find a good DT to play next to Lawrence. But he's instead given us Nunez-Roches, Davidson, Riley, and Chatman.
Stop being a bitch and root when the guy does well. JFC. Just proving your hear to spout nonsense
I'm not being a bitch, I just have higher standards then one fucking drive, it's not like we've won this game yet.
Yes you are
you're right - Daniel Jones is so amazing and so misunderstood. Barkley was a god who and we totally fucked up moving on. And 1 TD drive means this is a Super Bowl team.
But how exactly are the two plays at the goal line his fault? Most coaches would have called something similar. The line got no push and they fumbled. IMO that’s not on him.
When you are that close, coaches like Daboll tend to stack the box. I am a fan of spreading the field to soften the line

What are you talking about… we had Leo until we traded him last year… it has been one year we haven’t had a second DT. So this is only one year he hasn’t added a good one.
ToP is fantastic, but we can’t put the ball in the end zone. It just leaves the other team in the game. When was the last time they threw the ball in the end zone?
Wandale is just not a reliable chain mover....without Nabers we dontn
have totally dominated this game and yet are tied at 10. Feels a little like the Dallas game so far in that regard.
The problem is that we have no down the field big play capability so we need long drives just to get into FG range. To our credit, we've been reasonably successful driving down the field, including converting a lot of third downs, but it's difficult to rely on that strategy for an entire game. At some point, we need some big plays.

But it is not flashy. We did not connect with any bombs. Our offense is boring and I must be entertained while winning.
I just got home and decided to turn it on - I saw Robinson's drop and the defense basically not even try. That was abysmal effort with 30 seconds left.
Fumble at the goal line and a drop in the red zone.
Mouth breathers on BBI tomorrow will blame Jones.
I know, these irrational and overly emotional people need to take much more reasoned, intellectual, logical positions like saying they'd fire the head coach immediately, during the game, after the opponent recovers a fumble for a score.
Well if we play as well in the 2nd half we will win
The talent on the roster isn't bottom of the league. Like 90% of the plays we're playing possible winning type football. However we always make the losing play in a big spot. We're just a losing team right now. Fumble at the 1. Drop the 3rd down pass. Drop the 4th down gimme catch vs Washington. Just losers.
But as usual Jones makes it harder than it has to be. It was thrown behind him
robinson has a small catch radius so it is safer to throw into his body. cant remember if his other last drive drop was vs washington or dallas or cleveland but it was led nicely and he got both hands on it but bc he has short arms he didnt catch it.
that they were able to get Johnson involved. He really helped sustain some of those drives. I wish we could get Hyatt involved. They've tried to throw deep a few times, but I guess the opportunity wasn't there.
The running game has been excellent, and aside from the last Seattle drive, the defense has been as well.

We're tied on the road at halftime. Most people, including myself, thought we'd be down by at least 10 points right now. I agree that there are no "moral victories," but we are in a very good position right now to win this game, especially given how well we've moved the ball.
Starting RB and star WR aren’t in, and this game should be 17-3 on an all time bad call from the refs. We have no talent from the outside receivers so his game plan has been to own TOP, run with everyone who can, and short quick passes to his TE and RBs.
Some of you are so desperate to hate this guy that you’re missing out. We had a busted play where Adoree Jackson fell down, and the refs took 7 off the board and gave it to the other team. Otherwise, he’s got this talent deficient offense dominating the other team. So much so that they didn’t sulk, they didn’t let it take them out, they marched back down the field after that bullshit and scored.
Cut the bullshit out, Daboll is doing things with a team that should be getting blown out every week.
That’s just our style. Slow drives with few incompletions and snapping the ball with the play clock winding down. I think we had a 13-play 51 yard drive last week. Either way, few drives and not a lot of possession changes (commercial breaks).
It’s also why looking at ppg isn’t always telling the full story - point per drive is what everyone should be looking at

Plus Banks, Flott, Schmitz and Robinson aren’t bad. I would have picked Thibodeaux and Neal and so would have most of the league so I can’t blame Schoen for that.

Most every GM in the league would’ve had made those picks in our situation.
Too often. Tracy is grabbing 5-7 ypc. Why go away from it? Run it with him all the way to the EZ. Make them stop it.
Yeh if a time called for running on 3rd and short it was that one.....this team has damn players and solid damn QB play.... honestly a kicker and a few bad calls away from a winning record east...this gives me hope for the backhalf of season....I am terrified we get lore awful calls against a team the NFL doesnt want in the basement
He's maddening....he does so much well but damn is his NFL low catch radius show up all the time...I'd feel better about him if he caught the ball consistently
He can stiff arm defenses and sneak in a cut here and there but he loses his mind when in "hero mode" and puts his head and neck as the first line of defense
be a little more conservative on offense, but I would have loved to see us try to put it out of reach. I feel like we are going into another close finish
I love Slayton.
Always available and can catch the contested ball. Still the fastest sprinter in the team. He just gets misused as a cross receiver. His best plays are catching over his head on the run or in a traffic situation. I saw his jump on a guy's back to catch a ball once-as leverage
I understand wanting them to use clock but that wqa a soft scheme.
i agree. the only difference between playing regular D and prevent is that with regular D the Seahawks likely get one more possession. I'd much prefer regular D. Be aggressive.
Down but with 3 timeouts we may need two first downs. I wouldn't just run a bunch formation, I would spread them out some. This down and distance is perfect for us to show amultiple option formation.
It just dawned on me - the people who are that pissed - have money on the game and need to win to pay their mortgage.
Otherwise how can you be that emotionally involved? I have been a Giant's fan since 1970 - Norm Snead (from the Eagles) was the QB ... if we lose we lose. (Like in baseball) - There is no crying in fandom.
I'm not sure how material that extra timeout will wind up being for the Seahawks anyway, but I feel like running would have been more likely to pick up the first than having Jones throw it

I 100% expected Seattle to dominate this game. The roster overall seems to be better than years past, seeing Tracy and Theo play well was great. I like Tracy a lot so far. I think we’re seeing Jones ceiling as a QB. Wan’dale needs to clean up the drops but Jones also needs to make it easier on him sometimes. If Nabers comes up and they learn to spread the ball like this game I think the offense will be much more productive. I very much fear the Giants missing out on a top QB prospect two years in a row.
Sexy Dexy with 3 sacks
Banks played a good game against Metcalf
Flott and Phillips played well
Tracy was a revelation
Jones best game in 2 years
Slayton with a big game in Nabers absence
Simmons with an outrageous FG block
When is the last time it was a hard time to pick 3 studs! But I'd have to go with DJ, Tracy and Slayton.. but have to give credit to the entire Giants' D. It was great to be able to watch the game live for once out here outside of Portland, Or since they always show the Seahawks. I actually lived south of Seattle for a year and now down here 7 miles away from Mt Hood National Forest after living in New England my entire life. I can't move back cause I like it too much for those of you who are trashing the cities of Seattle and Portland
jumped between the center and the guard. I think that's what made it legal, but I defers to others who know more about that rule.
I knew you couldn’t jump on another one of your players as leverage, but not the jumping over the center. They must have done some serious film study to
pull that off. One of the best special team plays I’ve seen in a long time.

CB Dru Phillips, who is questionable with a calf injury, is going through a pregame workout. Daboll, DB coach Jerome Henderson and head strength coach Aaron Wellman are observing. Seems like a bad idea to push a rookie DB through a calf injury if there are any questions.
@DDuggan21
@DDuggan21
@DDuggan21
Mike Kafka is walking laps around the field with Leslie Frazier, who is the Seahawks' assistant head coach. Kafka has been stopped by a few Seahawks staffers for greetings. Kafka had two interviews for Seattle's head coaching vacancy this offseason, and their request for an OC interview was denied by the Giants.

i dont see the pocket movement, i dont see the size, speed.
he looks small both height/width.
We've seen this movie before.

will take a lot of pressure off schoen/daboll.
it will be in vogue to move off 50m franchise QBs and keep the HC/GM.
It’s just depressing and boring.

Whats most concerning on Hawkins is how the Giants coaching staff thought they actually had a starting CB in him

Let’s hope so. It was a hard run.
Only the Giants could have that happen to them.
The right play on third down would have been a naked bootleg by Jones.

Daboll does not seem to give a shit about fumbles or Special Teams....not exactly the hallmarks of the man who got honored in Jacksonville today
Unfortunately we may never have an opportunity to find out
and needs 10 minutes 12-15 play yard drives to get any points.
1-2 plays will always go wrong. somemtimes in a disaster fashion.
you cant manufacture offense with 5-7 yard plays.
it doesnt work in the modern nfl.
daboll and jones are a relic of the past.
you need to generate 15-20 yard plays.
May as well take the gas pipe and spare us all your whining.

He is 100% the problem. When you need 18 plays to score a TD because your QB never throws more than 5 yards, eventually something bad happens. You can’t run your entire offense within 5 yards of LOS.
Sorry, not perpendicular, parallel, just had geometry dyslexia there, haha.

Bad teams lose that way. When you dont make enough plays to win, one call or mistake will result in a loss.
The Giants need everything to go well to BARELY squeak out a win. They have to go without turnovers, the defense has to play well and get turnovers, and the other team has to shoot themselves in the foot.

Every thread and post… it gets so old to me. Like if people don’t come here to bash Jones they are going to kick their dogs with how much aggression they post about him. Enough already. Talk about something else if they can.
Looked like Gray broke the plane of the goal...
Isn't it always DJ fault? That's all I hear from our fans.
I do think Dabol would do good without an utterrly shitty QB at his disposal
Jones was “fine” that drive, no doubt. But it’s clear we can’t stretch the field with Jones. He’s too limited. Yeah he might have success here or there, but overall he is the main problem, still. IMO.

you're right - Daniel Jones is so amazing and so misunderstood. Barkley was a god who and we totally fucked up moving on. And 1 TD drive means this is a Super Bowl team.

That’s was not the first read. First read was deep. It was a smart play.
Agree. That was a smart play.

What was the BS call?
That third down hold was pretty damn soft
But the officials had other ideas.
lol ...
Looked to me like he found Theo when the deep was taken away. Got something out of nothing
Interesting
Agreed. Good game on his part.
really like the game daboll is calling so far.
Agree. Daboll is playing with what he has on the field. I know people are shitting on him, but I think he’s a good coach with designing plays.
Definitely can't take that away from him. He's very tough.
That’s how you lose games.
Yup.
Wanted to run clock down….that was not the problem. It was coming up short again!
Yep
2nd in the NFL.
Catch the ball - that is your only job (sans blocking).
Catch the freakin ball!!!!
Mouth breathers on BBI tomorrow will blame Jones.
Lol that was terrible
Easy there...
Didn’t see ur post. You could have gotten him of his supposed skill set in round 4-5.
Must be nice for skill players not to fuck up.
Must be nice for skill players not to fuck up.
Yep we drop that pass
No, it’s on the defense.
its ridicuolous.
our pace is snail like.
this isnt sustainable.
🙄🙄🙄🙄
Probably a reason he was sitting on a couch 3 weeks ago
He screwed them at the end against Dallas too.
But Jones.

Yes.
Schoen spit the bit that draft. No denying it.
He's been that since he's been drafted.
I agree and there will be plays where he gets there but for the most part it he close but not there
Mouth breathers on BBI tomorrow will blame Jones.
I know, these irrational and overly emotional people need to take much more reasoned, intellectual, logical positions like saying they'd fire the head coach immediately, during the game, after the opponent recovers a fumble for a score.
cool.. then this team is improving. There was a time when we would have paid anything for average players.
and wandles drop cost us 10 points.
too many self inflicted wounds.
I think we should trade for Rodgers...
But he is far from the main reason this team is where it is this year.
robinson has a small catch radius so it is safer to throw into his body. cant remember if his other last drive drop was vs washington or dallas or cleveland but it was led nicely and he got both hands on it but bc he has short arms he didnt catch it.
Quote:
But as usual Jones makes it harder than it has to be. It was thrown behind him
I think we should trade for Rodgers...
Thats nitpicking, the pass was fine.
Let’s see if we can play better in the second half though
Very true. We need a lot to go right to get points on 8-15 play drives.
Problem we run into is trams really tighten up after they see our attack extends only 8 yards off the LOS.
and wandles drop cost us 10 points.

If NYG only had quality WR (besides MN) who could make a catch that professional WR make.
🤷♂️

The second half has not been his strength this year.
Difference was we had a 14 point lead against Cleveland.
Final: Seattle 23, Giants 13
Agreed.

Both things can be true: Jones needs to make a better throw and Robinson needs to catch the ball.

The running game has been excellent, and aside from the last Seattle drive, the defense has been as well.

It’s smart giving a third string RB with fumbling issues is a smart move right?
Get a fucking life dude. You’re a low life POS who brings nothing to this site.
It really feels like we are playing super tight all season. It is why we make small mistakes with fumbles, drops, and over throws.
lol.

What is it you think you bring to this site?
We're tied on the road at halftime. Most people, including myself, thought we'd be down by at least 10 points right now. I agree that there are no "moral victories," but we are in a very good position right now to win this game, especially given how well we've moved the ball.
Cmon. He had both hands on the ball.
Said it earlier… i love him with the ball in his hands but those hands man!

Something other than Jones sucks. Try it sometime. You too then may bring something to this site.

Wait I thought I was in the DJFC… I can’t keep up with dumb insults.
It’s also why looking at ppg isn’t always telling the full story - point per drive is what everyone should be looking at
Quote:
Ever? 1 hour 1 minutes
That’s just our style. Slow drives with few incompletions and snapping the ball with the play clock winding down. I think we had a 13-play 51 yard drive last week. Either way, few drives and not a lot of possession changes (commercial breaks).
It’s also why looking at ppg isn’t always telling the full story - point per drive is what everyone should be looking at
+1.
2nd round pick…
How about WRs who catch the ball?
JFC.
what a throw
horrible drop
Typo. Better slot WR.
He threw it to hard… you can’t expect a WR to catch a ball thrown that hard
But, Jones is the reason.
That’s losing football right there.
Key drop in first half.
And now this fucking drop.
We need different players on this team.
Nyg WRs lead the nfl in drops.
Jones has been terrific today. We still lose.
Clearly.
They’re more like D+
drops by nabers/slayton/wandle vs DAL
drops/fumbles by gray/wandlae vs SEA
man rough go of it.

I'm there! Looks great!
He's essentially played like this ever week with some deep balls....the drops are making everyone lose their minds on him in 3rd and 4th down spots

Refs need to stay off Fanduel.
We will see in the coming weeks - won't we?

But, there might be more?
I think so as well.

The only thing open was Johnson was about to pop open on the cross but Jones got rid of it quickly.
They were trying to sneak the TE out there, but he got hung up
They were open but Jones decided not to throw it to them… eye roll emoji

In football, it's not as clear who first popularized it.
Trickeration in Football - ( New Window )
Nice Bounce - droppin the hammer.
Staying in bounds there is huge....it's a time thing with a defense that's been stout
He's maddening....he does so much well but damn is his NFL low catch radius show up all the time...I'd feel better about him if he caught the ball consistently
I would rather keep Slayton and trade Hyatt. At least Slayton gets open. Hyatt cannot run routes.
Ball didn’t come loose until wrist hit ground
Always available and can catch the contested ball. Still the fastest sprinter in the team. He just gets misused as a cross receiver. His best plays are catching over his head on the run or in a traffic situation. I saw his jump on a guy's back to catch a ball once-as leverage

This didn't age well.
We can't? Have you seen this team for the last 20+ years? It's what we do best.
I mean, we lost a game where we scored 3 TDs and the opposing team scored none.
Nothing with this team surprises me.
We were playing man coverage which means the secondary had their backs to the line of scrimmage and did not know Smith was running

Always see something bizarre in a Jints game. It's a pleasant novelty to finally see one of those plays go the Jints way.

Banks played a good game against Metcalf
Flott and Phillips played well
Tracy was a revelation
Jones best game in 2 years
Slayton with a big game in Nabers absence
Simmons with an outrageous FG block
I knew you couldn’t jump on another one of your players as leverage, but not the jumping over the center. They must have done some serious film study to
pull that off. One of the best special team plays I’ve seen in a long time.
