Giants have their first practice of the week this afternoon. Daboll speaks beforehand at 12:30. Would be promising if Malik Nabers has progressed to at least running on the side during practice (he could be even further along in the protocol by now).
Will be an interesting day today

Dexter Lawrence's 6.0 sacks are the most by a Giant through 5 games since Jason Pierre-Paul had 6.5 in 2011.

Dex also moved up to 13th in Giants history with 27.0 career sacks. Next up are Jessie Armstead and Erik Howard, who are tied for 11th with 30.5. Carl Banks is 10th with 36.0.

Sadly, on many days havoc is not required to stymie this offense.

Isaiah Simmons is the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week ‼️

BTW… after he made that great block, he put a nasty little shoulder block into the kicker just in case he got any ideas about chasing the play down! It almost seemed like Simmons enjoyed knocking the kicker on his ass more than the actual block!

The Giants DL is having the expected impact. I think Burns and Thibs aren’t producing as much as we may have envisioned but they are just holding their lanes and crushing the pocket. It’s the DL playing as 1 just like the OL is, and maximizing the dominance of 97. Just keep the QB in the pocket. It’s working.

They would have been close if Gray doesn't fumble at the goal line.

Did you not see Geno Smith take off for two huge runs? They must do a better job keeping qb's from extending drives with their legs.

Guards Jon Runyan (sick) and Greg Van Roten (vet day) weren’t at practice. RB Devin Singletary (groin) participated in individual drills. WR Malik Nabers (concussion) was working on the sign. Again, that puts him on track to clear the protocol for Sunday, barring any setbacks.

WR/PR Gunner Olszewski is eligible to be activated from IR this week. He was on the side working with trainers for the first time today. Looks early in the rehab process, but at least taking a step toward returning.

K Graham Gano, who is eligible to be activated from IR next week, was doing more intense work on the side.

Anyone questioning how tough these guys are - wrist surgery this morning for Thibs. And Giant fans will wonder if he's missing games.

Will you please explain what makes this a dickhead comment?

Because a) it's irrelevant to the Giants defense, b) there is no such thing as an NFL defense any team "should" put up 40 points against, c) whatever their "havoc rating" is, the Browns defense is somewhere between decent and quite good, and d) the Giants O carved them up and it's a stupid fucking dig at them from a supposed fan.

To be blunt, this is the after effect of how poisoned the atmosphere was around here is because a large group of posters focused more on being argumentative than on actually having a discussion etc.

Now having said that, I am hopeful about how our offense matches up against the Bengals' defense since the only team they held down was the N.E. Patriots in week one. But I'm also worried about their offense especially since they seem to have a solid rushing attack to augment their passing. (Only N.E. and the Ravens have really kept their ground game in check.)

It’s likely to be a high scoring game. Big challenge going againt Chase, Higgins and a QB who can sling it. We’ll need to score at get 6’s instead of 3’s to win this one.
