I can help but think the Jets trade today reminded me when the Giants picked up another aging veteran WR Herman Moore years ago and it turned out to be an epic disaster.
Davante Adams has checked out as a player. He gave virtually no effort in LV.
Herman Moore couldn't even run, basically, when we got him. He couldn't play. Adams, may be older, but can play, even if not at the elite level he was at.
Adams looks pretty spry in those Taco Bell commercials
He hasn't practiced in over a month and he doesn't block or give any effort to run his routes..he is not a motivated player these days.

But, Moore also couldn't run. I think the Jets are probably banking on Adams changing his tune being paired with Rodgers again.

Adams is closer to the Percy Harvin trade the Jets made years ago. Rarely does a mid season trade have a big impact during that year in the NFL, I'm sure someone can think of one that really worked in recent years, but you don't get an Eric Dickerson to the Colts thing where he rushed for 1000 yards in like 8 games for Indy and helped them win the division in 1987.
