be Ezeudu or Eluemunor depending on how Ezeudu does this week.
This doesn't have anything to do with Neal.
You’re talking about a first round pick who played LT in college. He’s not playing RT right now. He’s on the bench. Eluemunor could play LT or RT. Yet Neal won’t get off the bench? So he’s not good enough to play ahead of a 3rd round pick who barely played any tackle last season and sucked at it when he did play.
It has plenty to do with Neal unless he’s so hurt he simply isn’t ready.
They slide Eluemunor over to LT and then play Neal at RT. Then it has nothing to do with Neal. I guess we’ll see. Why do I get the feeling that won’t happen.
I feel like some either have no clue or never played football.
When has Neal played LT in the NFL? I just want to understand this. A guy played all over the line at Alabama yet people say he sucks at RT so play him at LT because he played there in college. He played RT in college too so that argument makes no sense. What has he played in the NFL? That's correct. He has only played RT. He was injured in training camp so he didn't get the reps. Neal has struggled at RT so moving him to LT could work but that requires time and reps, neither of which is in abundance during the season. During the season isn't about development. It's about game planning for that week. This isn't Madden. You can't just put guys wherever. Eluemunor is a vet and he would need time there as well to prepare. Ezeudu has been the backup LT so why the outrage? And another thing. Every time someone says Neal isnthe swing tackle has no idea what they are talking about. The Giants don't have a swing tackle. If anything, it is Eluemunor but he is our starting RT.
RE: Wasn’t Neal a standout left tackle in college?
is doing ok for the Broncos. 124 snaps, no sacks allowed, and no penalties believe it or not. Average pass and run blocking grades, most at RT but some at LT and TE. He would have been another option with Thomas out
Re:Ezeudu has been the backup LT so why the outrage?
Because Ezeudu has been horrible when he's been put at tackle in the past. We have a QB who has a history of getting injured for most of the seasons he's played. The chances of Jones getting injured will skyrocket if Ezeudu is his blindside tackle.
If the coaching does not want to put Neal at LT, fine. Start him at RT. He says he's healthy. But if he can't beat Ezeudu out at either tackle spot when healthy, he should be cut, high draft choice or not.
We have too many guys who are high draft choices, but can't play at an NFL level (Hyatt is another example). Sometimes. you have to let the team know that this won't be tolerated (I think Parcells was famous for cutting players to send a message to the team).
I think so too.
They don’t want to move him from RT.
Gman11 chose violence.
Yeah but then we wouldn’t be able to show the entire board that we simply aren’t paying attention to what the hell is going on

Neal was a standout RT. He was not quite as good at LT.
