larryflower37 : 10/20/2024 3:39 pm : link
This will happen
Why would he want to come here?
mittenedman : 10/20/2024 3:40 pm : link
DAL will be looking for a coach too. Possibly the Eagles. He’ll have options.

100% how I feel too.

It is a recipe for disaster and something that Mara will jump at the chance to do.

What does it matter? We are stuck in the mud. Might as well swing for the fences.
I’m really worried about BB’s talent
cosmicj : 10/20/2024 3:46 pm : link
Evaluation.
One thing about belichik
Jim in Forest Hills : 10/20/2024 3:47 pm : link
Is that won’t give a fuck what Mara wants, he’ll do it his way
Our opinion doesn't matter
larryflower37 : 10/20/2024 3:47 pm : link
Mara will bring him back as soon as he can
There's a reason
Jerry in_DC : 10/20/2024 3:54 pm : link
That he's available
I’m sure he wants less time with that 23-year-old rocket
bceagle05 : 10/20/2024 3:58 pm : link
and more time with Jones, Lock and DeVito.
Belichick is a great idea.
Gigantor! : 10/20/2024 4:35 pm : link
He'll/ we'll have a little over half a season to see what he can do.
We do have a great defense, some offensive weapons. A halfway decent QB and we might have an inspired team. How long can you play with a QB like Jones and not loose inspiration. Look no further than BBI to see what it's done to the fanbase, imagine being a players.
We kept Jones over Barkley. Piss poor player management and evaluations.
Time too move on.
I don't know if I can face
Gruber : 10/20/2024 5:02 pm : link
Joe Judge being back in the building.

😂😂😂😂
You know who will fix it, Belichick
Ten Ton Hammer : 10/20/2024 5:16 pm : link
Who only wants to finish getting the career wins record and cannot draft QBs.
Belichick is a tired old man
Greg from LI : 10/20/2024 5:24 pm : link
Pass. I would be interested in Vrabel, but no thanks on Belichick
....
BrettNYG10 : 10/20/2024 5:25 pm : link
I'd hire myself over anyone, but Belichick would be fine.

Belichick practically starts weeping every time he walks in the building and tours the lockerroom. He's in love with this organization. Thirty-something years ago, a short-sighted front office passed him over to replace Parcells, and I think it's driven him ever since.

I think bringing him back would be, at best, a big risk. Coughlin was 69 when we collectively decided he didn't have it anymore. Belichick turns 73 next spring. At some point, everyone loses their fastball. We get sick of firing coaches every 2-3 years - this guy is basically showing up with a sell-by date stamped on his forehead.

And as loyal a guy as John Mara is, he won't make up his mind to cut the cord with Belichick until a couple years past the point where it's become obvious to everyone.

He weeps because he shed blood here but he was also considered not HC material and has rumored to have warned people to stay away from the org in recent times. He’s a control freak - do you really see him coming here?

There’s a reason the Giants keep hiring nobodies at HC. It’s the talent pool available to them given the circumstances.
Get him a GM he knows, his track record doing both is no good
Jim in Forest Hills : 10/20/2024 6:07 pm : link
allow him to coach, dude is a master. I dont believe he's lost the winning concepts.
