One coach has a team who is 4-2. His QB has played well enough and has helped them win games. This coach has nothing to gain and much to lose by switching to an aging veteran QB, replacing the young QB who has the team winning games. He does that because he is a LEADER; he believes the team can be even better and makes this controversial and risky move. Obviously, I’m talking about Tomlin.
The other coach has a losing team. The offense has been offensive to watch. The QB hasn’t played well and hasn’t made winning plays when they were there to be made. His calculus seems to remain this QB is the best option on the team; probably the safest play for his shaky job security. I think a coach who is a LEADER says fuck it, this guy isn’t good enough and we have to try our other options even if it’s high risk. I’d rather he fail taking a shot than trotting out the same ineffective, uninspiring guy week after week. Time to make a change Mr. Daboll. I wish we had a LEADER like Tomlin somewhere in this organization… bunch of yes men and toadies.

tomlin had a super bowl winning quarterback on his bench whereas daboll has drew lock and a guy who goes by tommy cutlets on his. drew lock and tommy cutlets have combined to win exactly nothing.

Yes, I saw Lock. Shaky, but he hit Hyatt in the hands on a nice downfield shot. I’d just give Tommy Cutlets a shot and see if he can be a viable backup QB for the future. Yes, Wilson has won a SuperBowl in the PAST, and WAS a top QB; but he was run out of town by Sean Payton, has been injured and looked to be cooked. It was a controversial and risky move by Tomlin - they had a winning record and momentum. Very few (if any) coaches would have made that move.

I'd give ANYONE a chance to work with the first team for a week in practice and they'll be better than Jones.
