I have ever seen from an NFL player. That told me that this team had quit.

Nothing is more annoying to me than the couch rah rah monsters. Players have different motivations for playing well. Ultimately, the one motivation that the team can control is money (direct and indirect).

Whether Banks has the passion, the love, the grit, etc. he's getting paid to make plays. That's why he should make them.

I don't know what the CBA allows teams in terms of fining players for effort, but Banks needs to be benched for sure.

He seemed to have taken the criticism he received two weeks ago very well and rebounded nicely last week. To immediately regress and not take ownership earns you a ride on the bench for a minimum of a quarter--maybe even a full half since this is the second instance in three weeks.

Do you actually think this kid would say these words meaning what you think they meant? Please don’t be silly.

He meant in the moment he didn’t think he was in position to make the tackle but when watching the replay he feels like he actually could’ve made it. Banks wasn’t saying that he could’ve but chose not to. He was saying he could’ve but didn’t realize it in that moment.

Now… I’m not saying he was justified. He needs to keep that motor running until the whistle blows regardless of the outcome he predicts. I believe that is the private conversation that Dabs had with him.
