New Organization

NYGiantFL007 : 10/21/2024 1:52 pm
I am not starting over. I do not see Daboll or Shane as incompetent or disastrous. Bad luck, yes. Burnt on a few decisions or injuries, sure. But overall I think the organizational process is trending upward, the drafting is improving and so is the off season deal making.

If we start from scratch again, we will NEVER get off the mat. Bottom line we have to improve one single position, either in the draft or free agent. But that has to improve. And if we can make a modest improvement I do no think we are far from being competitive.
We heard the same shit about Gettleman

Continuity doesn't matter when the people suck at their jobs
Entering the season, I though Schoen/Daboll were safe

But results matter and so do optics for ownership. Optics were on display yesterday with Barkley in an Eagles uniform running wild up and down the field.

John Mara wanted Barkley back and Schoen insisted his plan would work. Barkley left for a contract the Giants could easily afford but chose not too. Barkley is having success with the Eagles and yesterday's performance can't be sitting well with Mara.

The Giants are the same product overall that Schoen/Daboll took over. A below .500 football team with Daniel Jones as their QB. Sure, Schoen has made some good moves and we are not in cap hell anymore, but the overall results are not good. Giants are 2-5 and heading for another below .500 record.

When Schoen/Daboll took over, the Giants were behind the Eagles/Cowboys in the NFC. Now they're not only behind the Eagles/Cowboys, but the Commanders have jumped them. So as of now, since this regime of Schoen/Daboll have taken over they are not showing progress and are the worst team in the division.
I simply don't see the improvement you do

And I am not a believer in consistency for the sake of consistency. If you make a mistake, you try to learn from it and move on, not live with it because the next thing you do may also be a mistake.

The question is not whether or not Schoen and Daboll should be fired, but should they be brought back? I have yet to see a persuasive case that this team is even moving in the right direction after 3 years of their leadership.

And if the team will be drafting a QB at the top of the first round, I don't want the last two folks in the NFL to realize that Daniel Jones sucks to make that decision.

Bad luck??? Trending upward in anything??? I honestly have no idea what you have been watching the last couple of years. We are a laughingstock in the league, setting new lows for competence seemingly weekly. Kicker follies, 14 ppg, a QB who hasn't throw a TD pass at home (to our team anyway) since 2022, dink and dunk 5 yard passes all game, won't throw long even when the defense doesn't bother to cover deep receivers, etc etc etc. If this is competence I shudder to think what incompetence looks like.
