I hate to admit it because it's fun to have and express opinions. But this is just beyond my capacity. I read thread after thread about what/who is wrong with this team and I agree until I move on to the next thread. It would be so easy if there was just one thing to spot and fix, if not today, then soon. But we've got Mara and his cohorts, Schoen- the drafting and the trades, Daboll as coach, roster management, Bowen, the offensive plays and scheme, Jomes, the OL, the recievers' drops and route running, the TE group, the DL, other than Dex, edges who can't stop the run, invisible Okereke-is it him or the new scheme?, CBs who can't cover or tackle, soft tissue injuries. The list of what's wrong is overwhelming. I give up trying to figure out what the problem is. I just hope it's not all-of-the-above
lol

I do think in the long run there are other holes to fill (corner, depth on line & receiver, defensive tackle), but I think for the short answer to compete and go to the playoffs, a quarterback makes the difference.
There are so many franchises out there that do it right!
We happen to root for a chaotic, broken franchise!
It is maddening because I/we all love this freaking mess of a franchise and just want to see competence at this point!
At first I was like.. there's half a game left. Then I thought "yeah that's probably right" which was a tough reality check with half the game to go

A franchise QB in Daniels???? Based on what? Let's not get ahead of ourselves pal. The guys a toothpick and won't last in the NFL. Many teams have been down this path and failed.
the challenge is finding the right coach. it appears we have again failed at that step.

Their offensive line/defense is not the best, but they have a franchise quarterback in Daniels. They are 5-2 right now. Quarterback makes the difference.

Well in the draft, he was one of the top 3 quarterback coming out. Washington is 5-2 with a not great offensive line & their defense is okay. From last year to this year so far, Washington looks different. Granted there is still 10 games left, but so far Daniel is looking great. Now how many years he will play in the NFL, we don't know. But as of now he looks pretty good.
I'm not really sure this is a many-travelled road. How many players come to mind?
