That some people honestly said they'd prefer to have Jones over Jackson. Just inconceivable.
The postseason criticisms are a fair issue that he has to overcome, but he's awesome. He accounts for a huge portion of what is consistently one of the very best offenses in the league.
I remember pointing out in 2019 that in college Lamar was a far better college passer than Daniel Jones AND a more productive runner than Saquon Barkley. Didn't go over well.
How open the receivers on good teams get. As a Giants fan, Im unfamiliar with this reality.
I think the Giants receivers have been pretty open this season, its just Jones doesn't throw it. He just throws the stupid 5 yd slant/curl, which is always covered because the D knows that is where he is going

Quite possible…Im trying to remember the last time we hit a deep slant over the middle. Baltimore is hitting them once per drive.

I don’t think anyone was a fan of the Daniel Jones pick, what’s your point?

The thing about patting yourself on the back, on the internet or elsewhere, …….. absolutely nobody gives a shit
It is funny when one of your best players goes down, the QB all of a sudden looks like shit.
Brock Purdy sure looks below average once he lost all his all pros
I get that Jones has run out of excuses, and that’s fine, but let’s not pretend shit doesn’t go sideways when other teams lose one of their best players and then all of a sudden the QB looks like shit

Less paying myself on the back, and more pointing a laughing finger at all the idiots who both criticize Lamar (and still do) and stuck up for Jones. They know who they are.

There's also the "it's just one game and anything can happen in one game" theory. Every good QB can have a bad game. Every bad QB can have a good game. But Mayfield and Purdy both have a good overall body of Work, and I'd definitely have more faith in either of them than what we can reasonably have in our QB no matter who on the offense is injured.

You could see it that way, or consider it a learning experience.
Lamar was always a decorated and productive *passer* in college. There were very few people on BBI who knew what they were talking about when discussing him, but that still doesnt stop people even today from underselling a two-time league MVP.

The guy is 2-4 in the playoffs. I don’t care how “awesome” he is during the regular season; given his salary, he should be winning SB’s (or at least winning AFC championships).
He’s overrated until he starts winning when it matters. Period.
But he's going to get the chance. You know why? Because his team has Landed Jackson and they're going to get to the playoffs on the back of one of the best offenses in the league.
After tonight Lamar has accounted for 17 TDs this season. That's a full year's work for Danny Dimes. But hey he's only in his sixth year; let's let it play out.

I’m sure he will. He’s had four chances, so he’s bound get it right at SOME point. Hopefully the FIFTH time will be the charm. Or sixth. Maybe
That was bad

I'll never forget. I believe that chatter took off after the game in 2022 when Jones "beat" LJax.
Ravens score here and game is essentially over.

He has not been good this year. He is going to get overpaid by about 40 million a year soon. Unless Shanahan has some sense.

And you’re full of shit - i NEVER advocated for Jones over Jackson. NEVER.
So sell your crap somewhere else.

What a great free agent signing
So jealous of the Ravens front office. They get it….
When will we start seeing end of games be treated like exhibition games where starters just totally sit for the most part?
