hasn’t really done anything in quite a long tenure with TEN.
I’m not sure why he seems to be in such high regard here.
I don’t hate the idea, but still.
The name du jour is Ben Johnson, OC of the Lions.
We'd have to wait until the post-season and there's no guarantee he would want to come to this sh*tshow, given he will be in demand and have a choice of vacancies with better run organisations.
I would like to see his reaction recorded when he's told in the interview that Mr. Mara thinks Daniel Jones should be our quarterback.
In an extreme dream world, I’d pay these guys whatever they want as consultants. As a committee, I’d have them evaluate players (pro and college) as well as coaching staffs. I might even add the Manning brothers and John Gruden. It’s time the organization uses its finances as an advantage inside the front office.
We have got to start nailing draft picks, free agency, and especially quarterbacks. We have also got to get competent coaching and player development.
This organization has been so poorly run for nearly two decades. Even the Manning years had many clunkers in between successes.
Ok, this made me laugh because I was coming here to comment Parcells too. He's clearly trying to raid the old folks home for coaches. How about someone from under McVay or something like that? Someone that first coached after we started taking lead out of paint.
He doesn't want to leave the Ravens and is content waiting for Ozzie to retire but I've never understood why a team didn't back up an armored car and offer him so much money he couldn't say no.
From an owners perspective paying 10 million a year to a guy who doesn't miss on draft picks would seem like a long-term savings
Why not Vrabel?

Same, don't get all of the love he gets here.
A hard no on Saban, he hasn't been around the league in over a decade

Vrabel 54-45 and Coughlin 68-60.
Funny (weird) side note:
Coughlin finished his Jags tenure by going 7-9, 6-10 and 6-10 and finished his Giants tenure going 7-9, 6-10 and 6-10..

Everyone go read "The GM." There are several great stories in it.
