I wonder if the ownership should bring in a management consultant firm. They haven't been able to hire a decent coach since Coughlin. Here's the list: Macadoo, Shurmur. Judge now, Daboli. That's a lot of years of losing, and I am tired of talking about who is going to be drafted already, it's still early in the season. Mara's can't seem to get it right
I think having Parcells over see the football operations would be more attractive to a potential GM and HC
Mara needs to step a side

I've said this same thing for years, however I don't think Parcells would want to oversee Football Operations as he's in his 80s now. That said, perhaps I'd bring him in as a consultant though.

Parcells is 175 years old.

Parcels is 83 years old and out of the game.... no thanks

and let him pick the GM and HC.

Well not until next August...
would really be a shame if he's not involved in picking the next QB
Chasing glory days by bringing back Parcels is not the answer. Keep in mind, Schoen is a Parcels guy. Also didn't Miami basically do that with him to no results? If anything returning back to the well has been a source of problems for the Giants. Need more outside thinking.
All that said, I'm not settled on whether they should clean house or not. It's hard to know just how much has been independent decisions versus forced ownership mandates, which is the root of the problem.

+1
Agree, the Board would have to relieve Mara of his duties, which probably would have happened already if this was any other company. The Tisch and the Mara families hold most of the positions on the Board.
I am willing to say that Accorsi's decisions put our success in motion for championships in '07 and '11 despite Mara's involvement as CEO.
