were, it is far too long since with only oogatz. Other teams have won multiple Super Bowls but many don't have the consistent losing like the Giants. This for long periods with the possibility of making the playoffs gone before Halloween.
Thread is a breath of fresh air. So thankful for the superbowl’s. Id take our history over a team like buffalo who everyone jocks every year now like they ate so special, but hasnt gotten it done.
Why, we don’t affect the outcomes of games. If you aren’t going to enjoy the history of the franchise, why care about being good again at all? Kinda no point to sports if losing just erases the past.

fans? You can want change while also being happy about the championship seasons. I don’t think Grey Pilgrim is satisfied with the recent product we are putting out, kicking and screaming about it doesn’t do anything though.
When Eli gets into the HoF should we instead talk about Jones?
I hate the mindset of ‘Yeah, we suck and have for awhile, but at least we have won four times.’
I just think it’s a lame mindset. Just my opinion. One can appreciate the past and yet be angry as hell about the present.
Who is appreciating the past, yet is NOT angry about our current situation? Anybody? Maybe Jack Stroud?
I've seen the sentiment of "oh well, we have 4 Lombardi's so losing now isn't that big of a deal" a lot over the last two - three years
What are a wrong with this POV? I know I don’t have to worry about the clock running out on seeing my team win a championship. I don’t like the past decade one bit, and I am thankful for the success of this franchise.
This whole Tony Soprano “the lowest form of discussion is remember when” philosophy is strange to me.
suggestion that the losing doesn’t matter because we’ve won before. That’s goalpost moving. What I do see is people saying they are happy we have a great history and are disappointed with the current product.

Maybe its because I'm also an NYY fan, but I've never been able to wrap my head around being okay with losing because the team has won in the past. 27 WS titles didn't make last years 82-80 record any better, less frustrating, or more tolerable. Winning the pennant this year has eased a lot of the last 15 years of frustration.
Back to football, imo 4 SBs doesn't make the last decade of garbage any more tolerable either.

I think you are making things up. Nobody is okay with losing because the Giants have won in the past.
They may look to those championship years during dark times (like now), but I don't see anybody saying they are OK with losing.
People creating ghosts that don't exist (outside of your Jack Stroud's and 4XChamps).
The solace train left the station a handful of years ago.

Alright, but that is up to the individual if the past makes losing more tolerable. It is for me as I explained above. I did not say that I am ok with it, but I am not going to spend too much energy getting upset about something that I really have no control over and does not really matter that much in the grand scheme of things to me.
Unless you are one of the ones that believe that fans like me are partly responsible for the state of the New York Giants as I have seen that sentiment expressed on this forum.
Anyone in their 50's or beyond really can't complain about a lack of championships.
However. The Giants have really been one of the worst franchises in football since that last Superbowl. We are irrelevant and there are better ways to spend my time now. I will pay attention, but I feel very let down by this franchise at this point.
Maybe, but it was the worst loss evah!
YES!!

3 Super Bowls with 2 wins
when they scored the second touchdown I thought the place was going to come down. Never heard anything that loud in my life.
They don't look like they know what they're doing anymore.

Yes, and more importantly- the future!
It's fine to reminisce, and to each their own, however we have to straighten this mess out fast or all we'll have is the past.
And pased fans.
Did you see all the Superbowls? All 4 wins help sustain me during these hard times.
