I was thinking about this today about NY Football

The Jets, I don't believe have made the playoffs since 2010 (if I am remembering it right) and the Giants have made the playoffs 2 times since the 2011 Super Bowl. So that is about 25 seasons of football with two playoff appearances when the playoff teams were between 12-14 teams. Can there have been a worse decade of pro sports in a city ever? I mean it is insanity how bad NY football has gotten. I would like to blame it on that hellhole of a stadium we play in, but I honestly think that has nothing to do with it. Just two terrible owners and two terrible franchise at this point in time and really no end in sight for either team.
At least, the only team that actually plays in the state of NY

In 25 years and won 2.
If you asked a Dallas fan would you rather have the Giants last 25 years or the Cowboys last 25 years what would they choose.

I don’t know, I feel like I have been without football with relatively few exceptions for the last dozen years. World championships are awesome and the goal, but it doesn’t change the fact that on most Sundays in the last dozen years I have to sit and watch either uncompetitive or meaningless football. I know Dallas fans haven’t had world titles, but they generally bad meaningful football most weeks.
A reason for pride?

The Giants are pretty good at closing the deal when they get close. 5-0 in NFC Championships and 4-1 in Superbowls. Just not too good at getting a chance.
Neither the Jets nor the

Giants made the playoffs at all in the "70"s.
The two teams should merge and become one giant odor

At least they are 7-5 in bowl games.
Neither team made the playoffs in the 1970's,

and in our case the futility went all the way back to 1964. On the one hand, as you point out, the playoffs are expanded now, and under this current format the Giants would have made the playoffs in 1970 and 1972 (though there were also fewer teams then so it's not an exact comparison). But on the other hand, fools gold or not, we did win a playoff game two years ago, which is something those 70's fans didn't get.
this sums it up
