Anyone else experience something similar?
A few days ago I had a really runny nose which turned into congestion etc. and I assumed it was a bad head cold even though it was accompanied by fatigue and a slight fever (so maybe mild flu?). That was until two days ago when I coughed up a bit of blood and then opened my mouth and noticed I had a clot of blood in the back of my throat.
I looked it up and apparently this can happen with viral or bacterial infections so I went to the walk in. I tested negative for COVID, flu and strep. They said the blood is likely from irritating my throat lining from coughing too hard. I have definitely coughed harder in the past and never had blood let alone a clot like that in my throat.
I was then talking to a coworker I haven’t seen in weeks and her and her husband have had the same symptoms with the coughing up blood.
Wtf.
Anyone else going through something similar or in the other side of this?
I would say two days later I have a really bad sore throat but I’m not even coughing that bad.
I've never experienced anything like this. Deeply strange symptoms.
I *think* I'm finally getting past it drinking ginger/honey tea, mucinex, cough suppressant and cough drops.
