It’s about just how little respect other teams have for the Giants. They get mocked.
yup. And after the game before the giants game an eagles player was asked about playing the giants next week and said they weren’t worried. Why should they be?
2.) Schoen should have re-signed him in 2023 and franchised Jones.
3.) We need to bench Jones ASAP and keep that injury guarantee from kicking in. There was one sack in this game where his knee almost got twisted the wrong way. With AT out he’s going to take more and more hits, especially with his low football IQ and general lack of awareness.
be vindicated.
Barkley has tremendous skills and is a good person, but aging RBs get injured, that is a fact of life in the NFL.
There is no good scenario for tying up that much cap on a RB with a rebuilding team.
I said to a Phila fan I'm friends with that he'll love Barkley year 1,a little less so thereafter.
With that said it seems like the Giants let too much of their talent walk out the door without adequately filling in their spots. Losing McKinney, Love, Saquon, Leonard Williams and replacing them with all rookies or people off the scrap heap like Pinnock.... and the results speak for themselves.
If its a complete tear down that's fine but eventually they need to find ways to keep some of their talent. We created more holes than needed by committing to and prioritizing one of the worst qbs in the NFL. This team has also let so many good DT's walk - Williams, Hill, Tomlinson etc. They need to find a DT to pair with Lawrence and fix the run defense and salvage the back end of his career. Lawrence deserves to win.

Agree on all points. The only caveat i have is, perhaps he would've been great if he was drafted into a different environment/ functional team. Either way it is a moot point.

Funny how other teams manage to keep their talent but we piss ours away

Him compliment the rookies, especially Nubin after he had just shit-talked him, lol. That's all part of the game.
My biggest takeaway was Sirianni asking him if he wanted to go back in to set his career-high rushing record against his former team. Saquon deferred to the young guys.
He needed 13 rushing yards to tie, 14 to best his career-best 189 rushing yards.
Imagine doing that in your first game back against your old team. Could've embarrassed NYG more and that would've been the headline, but he chose not to, despite Sirianni trying to talk him into it, and the ego boost he would've gotten from not only setting his career high, but doing it against his former team in the first game back.
You guys continue to over state his injury record because it fits
an agenda. After his big injury in yr 3 he has now started 49 of 57 games, including 43 out of 51 for the Giants. Thats as good or better than any RB in football

That was all class for sure. He didn't want to stick it to them too much. Saquon wasn't blameless in all of this. He received very fair offers that he turned down off the advice of his awful agent. Giants tried to do right by him. He acted a bit like he was Tiki Barber instead of a guy ravaged by injuries since he got here. Classy move by him during the game but the notion that he was disrespected by the Giants is nonsense.
let's slavishly follow "positional value", hand out a big contract to a stiff qb and forget all about accumulating good players so we can spend draft picks to replace good players we let walk. But, hey, those grapes were sour anyway, right?
as for the Eagles, they likely added him too late which we should be thankful for. Can’t imagine what he would have done behind that line a couple years ago and before Hurts hit this wall.
I've said this before but I was unfazed about Barkley going to Philly. No rings here with him so no tears were shed. One playoff win? Cool.
If you want to go a step further, it would be more weird if Shockey, Kerry Collins, Sehorn, or even Tiki hoped over to Philly. Come to think of it, the thought of any of those guys in an Eagle uniform pisses me off more than I thought it would.
As I said, the margin the Giants would've lost if Barkley we're playing that game as a Giant would be slightly less.
Besides Hawkins being a bad tackler, this isn't anything to be upset about to me. We lost to a better team and a good player took advantage of a worn out defense. If that really irks you, I recommend following Jai Alai, much less to get angry about.

Pinnock not exactly putting up good tape either.
I get that. This isn’t news though. It sucks but man I’m starting to get used to it. Makes it easier. Haha
Frankly it's embarrassing to care about this at all. Fuck Saquon.

Enough of more pressing issues we can discuss, like talking about DJ’s status….only kidding.

We're fans. Other than not buying tickets, what do we have control over?
Honestly that was my take as well. The bigger takeaway is the half assed tackling, lazy pursuit, awful special teams... the list goes on.
Agreed. They'll go down to Tampa and get whooped by Baker Mayfield again.

You guys must enjoy getting your asses kicked
Talented RB, but he is the kind of guy you build losing teams around. Perfect for the Eagles.

I thought he came back with a real hatred for the Giants. Also, seems as though the close friendship between him and Jones has ended.

Also, how creative would it have been to have Eric Lindros do the bell at the game and introduce him as a New York RANGER?
Mentally soft.
(I was totally in favor of letting him go, but this still sucks haha)
