Last week MX rescheduled the Grand Opening date for mid-summer of 2009. MX anticipates completion of construction by the end of this year. They also anticipate tenants will start moving in by January 2009.
Those are cars....note the scale of the cars on the Turnpike.

Parking, btw, is going to be a nightmare.
Bergen Community College is also putting a satelitte campus right in between Xanadu and our stadium.
Have you ever been in that place? It's like a little city. Rarely does something that tacky generate enough money to build something on that scale.

has anyone *ever* gone past when it's fully operational? Every time I drive past it looks like a ghost town with maybe 3 or 4 things open. The next time I see that roller coaster moving will be the first, and I've been by pretty much every day of the week, every time of the year.
To keep this on topic so no one bitches about it, the stadium is coming along pretty well.
Now I know that NYC isn't nearly as close to the stadium as these are to their respective cities, but the point is that the overall ambiance is vastly improved by simply incorporating the surrounding environment.
Love to visit, but I'll be damned if I ever live in that $hithole state again.
