Sideline Seats vs. Endzone Seats

Jon in Medford : 9/15/2008 11:21 pm
I have been to a couple games and have only sat on the sideline, and am wondering which seats you guys prefer. I've seen a couple people say its cool to sit in the endzone because you can see the holes opening up in the run game, but it seems to me like you see the entire plays better on the sideline. I'm talking about upper level seats, btw. Which do you think are better?
If I had a choice I would rather sit in the end zone

the only thing that sucks is when it is at the other end of the field.
How bad is it

but i really like it. The thing is that I like any seat though. I am just used to it from watching film and everything. You can get a better understanding of the game with that view. When I watch games from the side line view I tend to focus on the outside guys more (WR/CB). When I see it from the end zone I focus on a lot more (OL, S alignment, etc.)
As long I'm sitting within 20 rows

of the field (lower level), I don't care if it's the end zone. As a matter of fact, I always seem to be sitting 15-20 rows off the field in the corner of the end zone.

i sat low in the south endzone at milehi when i had season tickets. i also sat high a few times and i like that a lot better; you can see the play develop a lot better. sitting low you don't get that perspective. next time i get season tickets, i want to sit a little higher.

that's my two cents.

i was 19 rows from south endzone; that's pretty good but only really cool when they were down at that end

122 and 340. I always preferred 340 because there was a better atmosphere up there, and like others have said, you can see plays developing a lot better. Sitting in 122, when they're at the opposite end of the field, you're at the mercy of the crowd's cheers and jeers really because the depth perception is damn near impossible.
I've sat in both and prefer the sideline seats.

You're always going to be closer to the game action, but the end zone seats affords you a great vantage point for watching the plays develop.
I had (my father's friend did) season tickets for 20 years

in Yankee Stadium before the Giants moved...The seats were on the 12 yard line...However, what made them "great" was the fact that it was down the left field line and in the Sun...Really came in handy during Novembers and Decembers
upper endzone seats are great

much better than lower endzone seats in my opinion...from the lower endzone it is very hard to tell on running downs how many yards the back picked up...whereas in the upper endzone you can see the whole play develop and how many yards they pick up

however if you can get upper sideline seats between the 20's those are fine as well
