I found this gem on youtube. Hopefully some of you have not seen this yet. If we are going to have a shitty season like this one, we can at least remember some moments that fans of other teams would only dream about.
Merry Christmas everyone.
Giants Top Post Season Moments - (
New Window )
- the LT 1990 fumble strip won the game. The 49ers were running out the clock, the game was over.
- There were a couple of other moments in the 1986 SB, such as the tipped McConkey TD catch

Agreed...a few other moments were bigger. I don't think the Manningham catch along the sideline belongs either. Although it was a spectacular catch/throw, it was first down. We still could have driven down the field to score. The game was not necessarily decided on that play.
I think Hostetler got hit in his knee and had to leave the game. He came back in and scrambled for a first down and without that we lose. I actually remember saying to myself that if Simms was the QB there, we dont win the game.

That's one of the best throw/catch combos in the history of the superbowl. Absolutely belongs on there.
I was born in 89 so I'm not familiar with the exact ebb and flow of the 90 Niners game, but if that LT strip set up the last FG, I agree it should be higher.
I'd like to see Steve Smith's 3rd and 11 catch in there as well.
Overall, and you can't capture it in this, one of the top moments for me was in the 1990 SB the Giants holding the ball for the last 8 minutes of the first half and the first 9 minutes of the second. That's 17 minutes plus halftime the high-powered Bills never touched the ball. Otis kept running and running, grinding it out, very few passes. Pure, historic, ground it out football dominating the LOS. I will never forget the TV continually showing Jim Kelly standing on the sideline, helmet in hand, because he couldn't get on the field.
Amazing, the Bill only had the ball for 20 minutes but still scored 19 pts.

Do you ever yearn?
Yes but usually there is a female involved and not a large black man
