RB Rashad Jennings

September 17, 2015

Q: Rashad, you’ve been getting a little of attention these last couple of days. How do you feel you’ve put the last game behind you and turned your attention to the Falcons?

A: That game is completely behind us. As an athlete, you have a 24-hour rule win, lose, tie and moving forward to the next game. Right now we have a big opponent coming in against Atlanta and our focus is completely on that.

Q: How did you feel about the running game in general, and going forward against Atlanta, can it improve?

A: I think we can improve. Always room to improve, that’s why we play this game. Atlanta has got a strong front. Their linebacking corps is strong, their secondary is pretty consistent and they rotate their front line. They’re going to be fresh, it’s a good team and we’ve got to outplay them.

Q: It had to be comforting that you were able to actually run the ball pretty well against Dallas.

A: Yeah, our offensive front, our offensive line, all the running goes credit to them. They’re a physical group and like I said, they’ve been able to have some chemistry with each other, they’re going to continue to grow and this is a team we’re going to win with.

Q: How much of the slow start is the result of not getting a lot of work in the preseason and not being able to build a momentum?

A: We don’t look at it like that. We had an opportunity to be very productive during the preseason. This is year two in the same offensive system and we have higher expectations. That’s never going to change. We expect a little more out of ourselves.
I have news for the interviewer

Saw a long interview with him ....all class, articulate, team motivated, stressed that he wouldn't care who started, that Vereen was help not competition.....
We found a NY Giant with this guy and I think he handled all the flax from the last game well.

Most importantly, I think he's going to dominate as long as he stays healthy ...and more and more so as the oline jells.
