Tough loss for UVA this week - I tuned in and saw they were down by 6 with 4 minutes left and knew they were cooked - 6 points is 10 minutes worth of scoring for that "offense".

you can see those kind of flops every time Lebron or D-Wade plays a game. For such a stout man, Lebron goes down easy and D-Wade looks like he's been shot on every play. The game of basketball needs to correct this play acting. Charles Oakley or Anthony Mason could not play basketball today.

I haven't watched VCU play yet and the new coach might play a different approach, but the first three ODU games have been whistle fests with the fouls (and it sucks). I know in the past the VCU havoc thing was a ton of hand checking that are supposed to be called this year.

The NCAA is doing their level best to make defense illegal. The officiating has been terrible. Whistles every 20 seconds or so, all game long.

Pete as a NY Terp Alum the move to the B1G has been pure heaven. First of all all the football and basketball games are on TV, if not on ESPN/CBS then on the B1G network. Also in 2 years there we have been treated better than 50 years in the ACC. I'm not even looking back. It was fun playing Duke but the days of a home and home with them were finished and I surely don't miss going to that glorified CYO gym to watch them flop all over the place like flipper.

They played real well vs. MD but I think they shot a bit over their head. Funny thing is their C this senior kid Bradley Hayes scored 30 points total in the previous 3 years is all of the sudden a beast in the post and is averaging 17 and 10 over 2 games. We have tons of size this year and he was killing everyone but Ceko in the post the other night. Smith-Rivera and Derrickson shot 8-15 from 3. Somehow I think Bo will find a way to defend that team. Enjoy it. I'm heading out the Garden in a few weeks to see the Terps play UConn in the Jimmy V classic.

I liked the way VCU hung in there. We have a good squad. The A10 is strong again, this year.
