WR Hakeem Nicks
Postgame vs. Eagles, January 3, 2016
Q: You joined the team in the middle of the season. When you think about your time with Tom Coughlin your first time around and now this season --- what felt the same and what felt different?
A: His coaching is definitely the same, what he is preaching --- the things that he has been saying about going out and finishing out the game, the same stuff he was saying when I was part of the other teams, but that was a team effort today and we fell short.
Q: Did you notice anything different about Coughlin emotionally today?
A: No, I didn’t, actually. He always approaches every game the same and so we want to go out there and play for him and that is what we did.
Q: Just knowing there are so many questions surrounding his future, was there something different knowing that this could be his last Giants game?
A: Well, this week we just took the approach of preparing for Philadelphia. We have to control what we can control. What is out of our hands is out of our hands as players, and I think we just have to worry about the things that we can control as a football team and as players and be what we need to be.
Q: If this is Tom’s last game, what will you miss most about him?
A: You know, I really don’t want to speak like that until you know the situation at hand, so Coach Coughlin is my coach, he is the coach right now, so that is what we are going to stand on.
Q: You’ve seen him in his best seasons and now in a season that hasn’t gone so well. Does he still have the same command?
A: He still has the same command when he walks in the room. He is still Coach Coughlin to me. He is going to get on you when he needs to get on you and he is going to let you know when you do things right, as well, so it has been a pleasure playing for him --- I love him as a coach and I love the way he motivates his teams.
Q: Any thoughts on what you are going to do next year?
A: I think everybody knows my heart is a Giant heart, so I think everything needs to be said in that order. Business will take care of itself, but I am a Giant at heart.
Agreed.
So far, everyone has said the right things.

Agreed, they're just fishing for a story. Good for Nicks for being better than that
Nostalgia. Glad he got to come back for half a season on good terms. But we need WRs who can still run
I still hold out hope he rebounds!
Anyway, it was Nicks' fault for not realizing that he was not going to be in demand under this era of free agency.
I still don't get it as to how many here claimed that Nicks in his last year as a Giant dogged it on purpose to show his displeasure with Cruz being given the contract extension first.
Maybe he had a stupid agent, but what player ever doesn't want to play his best in his contract year?
