As some of you have alluded to, the expectations are much higher going into this season and there will undoubtedly be some heavy lifting from a mental standpoint. Can they handle the expectations and pressure as a top pick and of course there's always the great unknown when it comes to injuries.
I'm probably in the minority here but I'm actually anxious and excited to see how Walker does ...I really think he'll stabilize the 2nd base position and become a fan favorite. Also pumped to see what kind of damage Conforto can do with a full season of AB's and I'm praying that TDA can stay reasonably healthy and avoid the kind of injury that'll keep him shlelved for an extended period. Let's also hope that Duda won't go on one of his mid-summer Sahara-like dry spells. LGM!!!
saying our lineup is old. Ive heard it a number of times now. "A bunch of 30 year old's, ect." The Cubs announcers did it again yesterday.
We have 4 starters that are exactly 30 (Cabrera, Walker, Duda, Cespedes) . Two that are older (Granderson and Wright) and two that are younger (Conforto and TDA). We couldn't have a more balanced lineup in terms of age. Insinuating somebody like Duda is old is just comical. We also have a couple starting caliber players in reserve who are still young (Flores, Lagares, maybe Plawecki) and Herrera beating down the door.
Maybe its just me but I don't see an old lineup whatsoever. Granderson just turned 35 days ago and he's the ancient one of the group coming off a completely healthy, all-star type of year.
We are still missing some heavy hitters. Deej? Nyquist? Sheck? And where the heck has headhunter been? Lol
Sorry, been busy and didn't see this thread until now.
I think I picked 87 wins last year. This team is way way way way better (on paper, at least). I'll go with 94 wins. Need to keep the team healthy of course. The Nats scare me with their potential, but I like the Mets team more.
opening night and the callers are out on the radio and on the boards. Yankee fans going position by position to explain why the Mets suck and their pitchers havent proven anything....another guy calling in to say that Met fans shouldnt defend their team against assholes because they have the better team "but it shows they will always be little brother".
Yikes. At first glance the @bmets roster is very, very boring #Mets

Adam Rubin said to put him down for 92.
I think 98 is ambitious, but let's hope he's right!

Not confirmed but it would appear LHP Joel Huertas is a member of @colafireflies, excellent finish to his 2015 season.
