Q: Can you just give us a description of how you were able to stay in touch with the team?
A: Yeah. So I had an IPad with all the plays and a script with what they were doing each day and then Coach (Craig) Johnson would call me periodically throughout the week to see how I was doing and Coach McAdoo, as well.
Q: Is that any way to learn the offense?
A: I definitely wish I was here, but it definitely helped me more so than not having it and just watching.
Q: Did you know when you got drafted that this was going to be the situation?
A: I kind of heard a little bit about it, but I didn’t really know the extent with how long I would be out and all of that, but I am just glad that I am up here now and helping the team.
Q: What were you doing for the past month?
A: I was just working out, studying plays, obviously doing school --- taking finals and midterms, but yeah, just trying to stay as active in the playbook as I can.
Q: Was it kind of weird that you had classes and finals, but were also a draft pick of the Giants and have a job?
A: Yeah, definitely. You still have to keep your priorities straight. School comes first and then definitely come out here and or --- watch the plays on the IPad, but it is definitely tough studying and at the same time studying for New York.
Q: Did you ever watch the practices and wish you could just jump on to the screen?
A: Oh man, every time I watched it. It is just tough not being able to ask questions and just being there with the team and the rest of the guys.
Q: Are you going to just take a small bite right now or are you going for the whole enchilada at once?
A: I think I am going to take the whole enchilada. The guys are --- Rashad (Jennings) and Shane (Vereen) and Andre (Williams), those guys have really helped me get acclimated to the system and have really taken me under their wing.
