I think it kind of has been that way for a while. Also take into consideration that this is the first and possibly only time a lot of these folks will be on national TV, in HD, in primetime in their entire lives doing thier sport. They want to stand out.
Still a very pleasant 15 minutes.

Winifer Fernandez is definitively easy on the eyes but her team didn't qualify for Rio so she's not technically Olympic eye candy.
She's beautiful. Not much of a hurdler at the Olympic level, though, she didn't make it past the first heat.
