Q: The Packers rush defense is scary. What do you see when you look at that rush defense?

A: Yeah, they have been good. They have been shutting down runs. Their defense is stout and they have a lot of personnel that they can play. They have a lot of depth up front…..(inaudible). I think we have a good offensive scheme going into it this week of how we are going to approach how to pick up their blitzes, how to take on their 3-4 and 4-3 and the mixes that they are going to give us, but we know that this is a good opponent, so we are excited to go in there and make it a good battle.

Q: You have been on the injury report the last couple of weeks. How excited are you to get to playing?

A: I am excited, man. I have been back here champing at the bit. It is never a fun thing to watch the game from the sideline when you know that you can be out there contributing to the team and helping us win, so I am excited.

Q: How much of their run defense is attributed to their secondary not being as good and teams not running as much?

A: I wouldn’t say that at all. This front is really good. Their d-line is strong and, again, you have personnel where they can flip linebackers to defensive ends and bringing in Pro Bowlers off the bench sometimes, so they are good and their secondary is pretty good too with flying around. So again, it is going to be a full 60 minutes in order to put ourselves in a position to win.

Q: Odell has been a topic of conversation the last couple of weeks and he said that when he grew up and saw players lose their cool like that, he didn’t like it. He said that he wants to set an example for kids, so he wants to dial that back. Do you get a sense that he is a little different this week in terms of what he wants his reputation to be?

A: When he steps back and looks at it from a perspective of growing up and looking at it through a kid’s eyes and saying that he wants to tone it down because there are some kids that are looking up to him – I always have conversations with Odell about life beyond football and he really does have the opportunity to impact a nation because of what he is able to do. God gave him so many gifts and no matter where he goes, he is growing to understand that the cameras are going to be there and he plays with such a passion that it is attractive for a camera. So understanding that as he grows and matures in owning that, he has the ability to impact a nation and looking at it from a humility standpoint of him not wanting kids to look at him a certain way – I think that shows a lot of his true heart and I think he will start to display it on the field.
Never thought Jennings was the answer for the Giants.

The loss of Vereen has the offense looking very average. Guess we'll see, but to me Jennings gets stopped too many times behind the line. I hope Perkins gets another look this week.
Jennings is a very good pro running back
