Q: It seems like you’re not only gelling, but also starting to get bodies back as well.
A: Yeah. The bye is a chance for everyone to get healthy. Get us ready to play New York Giants football.
Q: How would you grade your individual performance so far this season?
A: So far I’ve been OK. I think I can be better. Always room for improvement. When I go back and look at it during my bye, I’ll have more details. I can always improve.
Q: Are you happy with where you are in the standings, and still have four of the six conference games left?
A: I mean, we’re never comfortable, but we’re OK. It’s a long season and we have to be ready for it.
Q: When do you start thinking about the Eagles?
A: I start thinking about them probably Wednesday.
Q: If you can get (Nat) Berhe and even Darian (Thompson) back on the field, how much can that help the secondary?
A: That’ll be a lot of help. It’ll be helpful as far as depth. Contribute on special teams. It’ll help us a lot.
Q: Given the fact that the defense the last couple of weeks has gained some momentum, is this not a good time for the bye?
A: No such thing as not a good time. Just have to keep it flowing when we come back from the bye. Like I said, get the wrinkles and the ins and outs. The coverage and the defense out of the way. Just look for corrections.
Q: How much easier is it when the line starts getting that push up front?
A: It makes my life a lot easier. Those guys been doing good so far. Hopefully they keep it up. Just ready to see what the bye brings us.
Funny how we miss 2 safetys who have barely played for us.
Now if it was Rolle......
