Seriously, how does Bettman keep his job? More sunbelt hockey please. This is just fake profits for the owners -- taking LV's admission fee because it puts $15 million in each owners' pocket.
RE: they should do something to honor the indigenous wild life
seating almost sold out. this is Vegas baby, they will sell out every night.
each visiting team will also have plenty of support
Year one isnt the issue. Year 10 is the issue. As for visiting teams, true for some big market teams. The Winnipeg ex-pats in LV arent going to fill the arena.
if things dont work out here in ten years they tear it down

I agree, but man Canadians do love to travel (specific to Winnipeg).
I can absolutely see a couple thousand fans make a mini vacation out of the Vegas game(s). Maybe it will wear off, but that's a cold winter in Winnipeg and I don't think that flight is any worse than NY to Miami or something like that. and probably cheaper.
But the owner is an Army guy and wanted Golden Knights. Except he can't use it, so now both the owner and the fans are going to get a name they don't really care for. I think they've completely botched it.

I vote for ron mexico's suggestion.
