Apparently he's not doing a very good job, because everyone from Pro Football Focus to mrvax says he's the worst Left Tackle in the league.

Flowers stays where he is. We're going to train the lad.

I guess we need to come up with examples of first round picks that under perform for 2 full years and now are all pro's and divided that number of first rounds picks that bust after 2 years and decide if it makes sense to continue with this POS in year 3 be it at LT or RT. I believe it will be clear that Flowers is a bust in NFL. He is going to Eli killed and another OL coach fired.

I got the reference and appreciated the cleverness of the connection he made, but in the case of Ereck Flowers, I felt it missed the mark. But by inches, not miles. Of course as we know from another Hollywood movie, football is a game of inches and the inches are all around us.
I'm not against leaving Flowers at left tackle with the hope that more "training" in the offseason will lead to a significant improvement. It may be that the coaches determine it is more prudent to keep him at the same position than give him the added burden of learning the footwork and/or technique of a new position from scratch. So coach him up at left tackle in the offseason and see if he makes the improvement. If he doesn't, move Pugh to left tackle and Flowers to the bench.
My issue was the blame assigned to the coaches for Flowers's lack of improvement. So I chose to address the content of Klaatu's post rather than praise its creativity (there were plenty doing that, so it wasn't really necessary to add my voice).
p.s.- I think this was more a case of Klaatu creatively suggesting it was smarter to continue coaching Flowers up at left tackle than move him to another position and not criticism of his coaching, but since the movie scene gives a different impression, I felt the need to make the point I did.
