Let's get this party started after the chalkiest first day in many years....
12:15 - #7 Michigan vs. #10 Okie St
12:40 - #3 Baylor vs. #14 New Mexico St
1:30 - #8 Arkansas vs. #9 Seton Hall
2:00 - #3 Oregon vs. #14 Iona
2:45 - #2 Louisville vs. #15 Jacksonville St
3:10 - #6 SMU vs. #11 USC
4:00 - #1 UNC vs. #16 Texas Southern
4:30 - #6 Creighton vs. #11 Rhode Island
6:50 - #1 Kansas vs. #16 UC Davis
7:10 - #7 Dayton vs. #10 Wichita St
7:20 - #2 Duke vs. #15 Troy
7:27 - #6 Cincinnati vs. #11 Kansas St
9:20 - #8 Miami vs. #9 Michigan St
9:20 - #2 Kentucky vs. #15 Northern Kentucky
9:50 - #7 South Carolina vs. #10 Marquette
9:57 - #3 UCLA vs. #14 Kent State
For long shots... UCLA doesn't play defense so I'd give #14 Kent State a chance and #16 UC Davis is the best of the #16 seeds and KU is the worst so maybe that can be a miracle.
He had some trashy tatoos too.
Metnut, your take on the ND/Princeton game couldn't have been more wrong. Both statements you made, "minor miracle ND won and Princeton took it to them" are completely inaccurate.
ND established control early and never relinquished it. The game was close because we were uncharacteristically missing free throws after being assaulted most of the game. Some of the contact by Princeton may have been criminal offenses.
B's whining that the referees were favoring ND because of the difference in foul totals proves he either didn't watch the game or doesn't know what he's seeing. Both options are equally possible.
You'll need to improve your analysis Nut, although you fit in well with these two amateurs at the moment.
BTW, Zaga would be the weakest 1 seed, not Kansas.
Have a Happy Irish Day!
Don't bother. The guy is a Loser.

The refs certainly didn't favor ND (you're right that we were mugged left and right) but doesn't change the fact that ND played their worst game in at least a month. The defense (Farrell in particular) was awful down the stretch with PU shooting open corner 3s everywhere. The 3 alums I watched the game with all felt the same way.
If you think ND played good yesterday I don't know what to tell you. It's a testament to Brey and the program that we're advancing after laying egg vs a good team rather than being ousted. After playing 9:50 tipoffs all last week, I think the noon tipoff and Colson being off with an ankle hurt them. I expect them to do better vs WVU.
OK Curly

I don't think we played well yesterday, just offering some constructive comments about your analysis. I know you're an Irish fan and would take it for what it's worth.
Scott Drew teams gonna do what Scott Drew teams do
Best game of the tourney thus far.
almost let State back in but they miss two wide open 3's and push off. Michigan ball coming out of the commercial.
As entertains a game as I can remember this year.
Walton again!
32-6 run. They look really good.
State won't die!
give that man an MVP pin.
I guess Wilson iced it!
What a great game.
Michigan made a million threes in the 2nd half and OK State still had a chance to win.
Wilson a little better, State would have done better on the boards. Evans missed at least 4 lay ups that I counted. Can't blame the score total on his last missed layup, that banked in three has no business going in.
Both teams fearless on offense, not much collective defense going on but there were some great individual defensive plays.
Both teams looked strong. Michigan might do some damage.
Looks like it was just a drive by.

Let me guess, Notre Dame should have been the 1 seed as opposed to the Zags.
Exactly. Total horse shit
Replay is ruining sports. The refs are now overanalyzing everything - of course it's going to look worse in slow-mo.
Very shitty timing for it, but I can't blame the refs for actually calling it.
If you shove a guy and he winds up on his back, they're going to call it
I think they had to call it. It sucked and I generally am 100% against the refs, but i have to agree with them on that one.
You can't just push a guy and him wind up on the floor with no play on the ball and think it's not going to be called a flagrant. Yes, he did trip over himself but that doesnt happen without the push.
Agree 100%
He tripped because he got pushed, it's all part of it.

I swear to God, 2 hours in my living room I could make you understand the game.
You're just embarrassing yourself.
I recommend Califorication on DVD to binge watch. Best show ever. Of course, you'd have to be cool to get it. I honestly think you qualify for coolness but don't have access to what is out there. Be Hank.
Stop posting on College BBall threads, your value as a quality poster couldn't be lower.
I mean that in an instructional way. I got St Looie ribs on the grill tomorrow and leftover corned beef. No BBIer ever left my house hungry, including Nads O'Leary.
you could be an insider. Reach out, you have potential. Embrace the old farts, we've seen more than you.
It's St Patty's and I'm watching Mich St with the green borders on the court pad my bank account, been a great day. Too cold for fishing this morning but the ocean was green, Rhode Island is legit and your claim that USC was unworthy was totally destroyed by their second win in the tourney.
Reach out or go away til the NIT starts up again. I honestly believe that Cuse would have beat Va if they had the chance but you didn't qualify for the chance.
Keep it real B. Bond with me on my Mich St windfall.
Heh, heh.
Kent State hanging in.
That said, they're playing well and could knock out Duke. I'm ok with that!
Until the final 4.
Here's an idea. Since you think you're connected and I'm a loser, I'll give you 2 days to find out who Charlie Yelverton was. That's how far I go back and you are not even in the equation,
I'll help you though and as promised, I'll feed you well.
I can't tell you who Nad's O'Leary was though. If I told you, I'd have to kill you.
An Icon.
Willie Glass before the sweater.
Note any responses , those of us that lived it will be far more advanced than any newbies.
Newbies being anyone one before 1971.
Yeah, I'm old but trained and connected by the best there ever was. Digger was cool but any coach that played the game respected Bobby Knight as the best. No one has surpassed him since.
The political upheaval has merit but if your kid is a potential hooper with the gumption to put in the work, there was s no price on Bobby. He's the best there ever was and that comes straight from Digger, Frank McLaughlin and Dick Debasio.
I would think ND, Harvard and Stanford would be a mic drop.
Have a nice night.
UNCW, Middle Tennesee and Mich St just funded my summer.
That's Disneyworld for the family plus Roger Waters in Philly for myself with maybe a baseball game before the concert. If I hit ND over WV I can go first class or invite djm and feelflows as my guests. I owe jlukes since he made it possible for my son to attend his first ballgame, so he's first on the list. Sorry D.
Get a clue man. Make some money. I'm done already but I'll give up my source for a price.
Baylor's going down soon, just have to pick the right time, same with Oregon and Zaga.
Was a great day! And to all a good night...
I spoke with a father of a past UNC player today who works at my pharmacy.
Litigation has been stalled longer than should be. UNC will be erased from the archives. Think SMU. Tarheel fans have this run to enjoy then it's total abscurity.
Michael could be permantly erased from college basketball. Property value will go down since he owns a home in my neighborhood. Maybe I could sue Dean Smith for the difference?
Got to wait on the litigation.
