But as I've said, Trubisky is the only one I'd consider at #23, and the only one worthy of a first round grade. The rest are second/third players, but I wouldn't be surprised to see all of them go in the first, and Peterman in the second before #55.
I'm not sure how/when/why Webb started moving ahead of Mahomes in anyone's opinion. He got beat out at TT by Mahomes and then went to Cal and took over for Goff, which has to at least raise the old Cal system QB questions.
He hits a lot of boxes when it comes to great QB play. Strong Arm, Pretty Accurate, Good toughness.
What I like best is his leadership. That is the #1 trait a successful NFL Qb needs to have.
He went to Cal as a graduate student and within like 3 months of spring ball was named team captain.
He reminds me a lot of a less douchey Ben Roethlisberger. Big, Strong, not really a scrambler but great pocket awareness and can slide around to gain an extra second or two when necessary.
I would love Webb in the 2nd but I don't think he even gets to our pick in the 1st at this point. His stock is on fire with some now projecting him in the mid-1st.
Mahomes is my favorite QB prospect in this draft, with Kizer 2.

Without knowing how they process information and read defenses, I'd rank them the same way. Two great and accurate arms and fewer mistakes.

Gotcha. Seems like a smart dude from what I've just read as well
the videos you can tell this dude has a live arm. Enticing but probably not at 23. Although I've already convinced myself in 20 minutes he's gonna be better than Watson
Josh Dobbs made him transfer. Peterman was immobile, was holding the ball too long and was taking a beating at Tennessee. Dobbs replaced him and ignited a painfully ineffective offense.
I'm sure it had to do with the system but Peterman was awful at Tennessee.
Be extremely fortunate if Mahomes lasted til 23 and if he did most certainly should make that pick. People seem to be looking for a plug and play QB to select at 23 ... why??? Eli definitely isn't going anywhere next year but it could quite possibly be his last season as a top shelf QB. In terms of Mahomes we'd have him on that deal for 5 years and basically have a 3 yr window with him playing to see how far we can go and how big of a fun we could make.
There may be overall better prospects of QB's next year be this is the perfect season to draft one and have him sit behind ELI for two years ....
How he viewed 1,3,6, and 12 months ago. I'm sure scouts had him pegged a lot differently and a lot more consistently than the media and fans did early on.
From purely a fan perspective I can say this guy's stock has absolutely exploded. I've never seen him play a down or heard much about him until after the college season. He has progressively moved up from the 5-10th ranked QB to the point where now a lot of fans sound as if they view him as "THE Guy". It's almost as though if he, Watson, Kizer, and Trubisky were available at 23 the Giants would have to take him.
I hate projecting spread and gimmick offense QBs in the NFL. This QB class is so bad the most pro ready prospect likely goes in the third round.
The first requisite is can you be accurate and poised from the pocket under duress. I don't like him in that role. I want a 'run last' QB. A guy that can scramble and extend when it's 'required'. That's just the kind of QB I prefer.
Looks too heavy, has to get in better shape. Plays in a simple spread offense. Not the most mobile guy and he lacks the speed to create on the run, but he is able to extend some. Has many throws where he doesn't set his feet and is all arm. Needs work on his mechanics. Will force some throws because he trusts his arm too much..
1. Trubitsky
2. Webb
3. Kizer
4. Watson
5. Mahomes
Trubisky.
Mahomes.
Webb.
Watson.
Kizer.

Sort of. Webb got hurt. Mahomes came in, and played well enough to keep the job. Who knows if Mahomes would have won the job if both were healthy.
Mahomes has the biggest "upside' of any QB in this draft because he has the most mobility, and best arm. But he also has the lowest floor.

Webb reminds me of Kerry Collins a bit. Great arm, big guy, a little bit more mobile, but not his strength.
I'd love to get Webb in the 3rd if possible
Will be interesting if they jump ahead of the Giants.
Throwing to receivers he has no real timing or rhythm with, it's not surprising.

There's no "who knows" about it. The injury happened in 2014. They both entered 2015 healthy and Mahomes kept the starting job.

a QB with mobility could make this offense unstoppable ... gonna be an interesting 1st round thats for sure

If accurate, first round-worthy?
