that is an adult and brings a glove to a game should be slapped in the mouth. Never mind an adult who brings a glove to a game and blows an easy catch, jesus

He's an embarrassment to his family, himself, and the Yankee fandom and organization. Pathetic drop...
man i cant listen to this woman call a game. and its not cuz shes a woman. i handle sw better than 95 percent you. i just feel like this girl is always begging us to believe she knows what shes talking about.
The Yanks are hitting everything hard off Wainwright

Jessica Mendoza? She does know most of what she's talking about and do you want Curt Schilling back?
did they give Judge a Triple? I thought as soon as a fan touches the ball in play its dead, shouldnt it basically have only 3 possible outcomes? Home run, ground rule double our automatic out? Just curious, didnt know it was allowable to just play it out and see where the play takes you.

Who brings gear to a game and can't do the basic shit. What an embarrassment. That guy should immediately leave the Stadium and get cosmetic surgery. That was pathetic.
Now they're opining on the Bautista bat flip and evolving mores in baseball etiquette... the only way this gets worse is if Lupica comes on for an interview and book plug... holy shit...
the glove. You don't want to bring one, fine. Others want to bring one, fine.
But for fucks sake, catch the effin ball. Maybe he should have forfeited the glove for dropping a can of corn.
Point 2 - WTF is MLB looking at? That ball was well over the wall. I want to here that explanation. Not some drivel about Yadi and the boring ass broadcast team.
is she may be very knowledgeable about the game, but instead of showing that, she's busy trying to make little jokes and give some forced laughs for Aaron Boone's dumb jokes, bc they're trying to conform to ESPNs "cool" schtick
within themselves. Romine protecting and going the other way; Torreyes drills a hanger; Judge with controlled aggression. Bird ripped that ball the other way yesterday and since then looks like the eye is back. Hicks may be rewarding Girardi's and Cashman's faith.
great to see the Bird Man raking too. Oh and Molina was an absolute embarrassment behind the plate this series. Starting Friday night when he couldn't be bothered to reach for the throw and jogged after it letting Ellsbury steal a run. How many passed balls did he have this weekend? I get it the Cards suck this year and he's used to contending, but he just signed a huge multi-year deal and thats the pathetic effort he gives all weekend? He literally mailed this series in. I'f I'm management I'd have a serious sit down with him after this debacle.
The boys are having fun. Overcoming bad calls; taking advantage of opportunities; playing decent defense. Success breeding confidence.
Couple guys playing over their head, a couple under performing and a few big players missing.
gave us exactly what we had been expecting for a couple of years. The talent has never been a question for either one. It has been the consistency.
For me, Severino was a huge question mark and disappointment. I thought he would have to work out his issues in the minors. Thus far, he has proven me wrong in a big way and I am thrilled because this is the guy I expected 2 years ago.

Props on the mea culpa. You may still turn out to be right; it's early. In your defense, baseball is the hardest sport to project young players.

Yes, because with such long seasons, after a few, young players aren't so young any longer. Severino is at a critical juncture in his career this season. The last two starts were very powerful for him.
Hard to expect the starters to remain this consistent or some of the contributions we are getting to continue, but it is a lot of fun. And all without Sanchez and Didi, too.
The two Aarons look so confident and comfortable at the plate too. Such a difference from last year where they both seemed to be fighting themselves up there.
Fully admit I've long been on the Headley sucks bandwagon...happy to eat crow. Looks extremely confident at the plate, not chasing bad pitches or trying to over-hit, and he's been an OBP machine
I know we like to debate Girardis lineups, and he's looking pretty smart right now - but I really think he could be hitting Headley 2nd for now
Well, it's a small sample so we'll see what he does going forward
I can't believe Headley is playing like this. He's been trash as a Yankee for the most part, but here he is having a hell of a hot streak to start the year. If he can just be "above-average" for us this year, I'll take it.
With an MVP-conversation season a few years ago. I didn't think he would be this good and I doubt he will do this all year, but the hatred for him was borderline irrational. Nowhere near Ellsbury's class of albatross deal. Second half 2016 Headley was playing at or around his contract, value-wise.
Diaz SS
Carpenter 1B
Piscotty RF
Adams DH
Molina C
Gyorko 3B
Grichuk LF
Garcia 2B
Gardner LF
Hicks CF
Castro 2B
Ellsbury DH
Headley 3B
Judge RF
Bird 1B
Romine C
Torreyes SS
It really is. I'm about to fall asleep.
Headley leadoff single up the middle. Judge clocked a 1-2 pitch out in right center. Dude is a beast.
He's an embarrassment to his family, himself, and the Yankee fandom and organization. Pathetic drop...
Stolen home run.
If you can't get it right, then replay is a complete waste of time.
That was a fucking bomb. Holy shit
He really doesn't.
Slow fastballs and hanging curves all night so far.
Jessica Mendoza? She does know most of what she's talking about and do you want Curt Schilling back?
Jackass grown man who can't catch an easy fly ball with a Fuckin glove and no one around him almost screws everything up.
And another clown with a glove ducks Torreyes foul ball.
Buncha pussies at the Stadium tonight.

who's had a terrible start to the season and doesn't look anything like the pitcher he used to be

He used to touch 95-96 regularly with the fastball but now he's at 91, maybe 92

And it's all the guys who brought gloves. Bitch move #1: bringing the glove. Bitch move #2: fumbling the catch.
Man up, douchenozzles.

Would you rather have Suzyn?

Meanwhile, these schmucks in the booth have been verbally fellating him for his "passion" for 10 minutes

I'll wait a couple more innings before I take it back...(knock wood)..
Nice night so far.
Yep...
What a turnaround year for him and Headley. 1-4 Yanks.
Ellsbury...
No reason to do that in April
Based on last year's rain delay decisions, they'll do 2 separate delays and finish the game by 4:00.
That's the end of Wainwright with Judge coming to the plate...just as they were about to do a feature on how hard Judge hits baseballs
Our starting pitching hasn't looked this good in years.
And Headley with a great play from second base. Looking nimble for an old guy.

plus I know we curse the shift .. but now we're using it too!
Looks like it. Had a nice hard hit double earlier too.
Girardi sleeping on the job.
Get warren up
Oh really? I didn't know that. If that's true, that explains the nonchallenge.
Great line, and two games in a row. We've got a postseason heart beat!
Don't think that was hung or at least it wasn't that bad. More like Molina made a good excuse me swing on it and hola Yankee Stadium HR..

Pineda just hung a slider

You're right. On replay it was lower than I thought.
Love Pineda's mentality after giving it up. It seemed out of mind by the next pitch.
.
Three - Judge's HR; the dropped FC with Bird going the 2nd and this fly.
severely over throwing....
Couple guys playing over their head, a couple under performing and a few big players missing.
Yeah, they're a tire fire, but you play who is in front of you
Fairness? What?
Would you be mentioning "fairness" if they got swept?
What a weird and negative stance during a seven game winning streak.
(whispers back) you mean Cashman and Girardi might know what they are talking about? Can't be.....
Quote:
(what if Hicks is actually decent?)

WHAT HAVE THOSE GUYS EVER WON!?!?!?!

But I have been shocked by Headley. I thought he was finished as a productive player.
Me too and I was actually in favor of the trade for him and re-signing him way back when. He should be batting 2nd, though.
