1. Not close per Ehalt
2. No update
3. Broken hand
Mid-season? Sure. Right now Wilmer would likely take over as the primary 3b. Maybe TJ Rivera called up with a look as well. Rosario would almost certainly be the SS when he's called up. 0 career games at 3b so far.
I would think if anyone plays third its Flores
Conlon was 84-87. Lots of deception. Smoke and mirrors. Solid CB with plus command. Average-solid CH. Plus pitchability, just the FB is real light.
Guillorme is an excellent glove. Showing a bit more strength than last season at the plate. Has a weird body that he'll need to keep in check. Could be nice utility player.
Corey Taylor has trimmed up a little, weight-wise. Secondary backed up a bit from previous looks. 92-94.
David Thompson - good body, hands are good at 3rd. Arm is a little light. Some trouble covering outer half of plate. Perhaps a poor man's Freese."
Shecky NP!

Just to put that in perspective. I saw a 14 year old hitting 83 just last night. Consistently. And easily. Thirteen.

Brazil has a RHP (yes Brazil) who touched 95... at 15 lol
As just trying to put 84-87moh into perspective at such a high level. 84-87 now is considered average HS arm. It's really not something you will see at the low levels yet alone high levels. Most pitchers in the GCL are already low 90's+
In the past month I've seen four 12 year olds hitting 79 and up. About six weeks ago I saw a TEN year old mid to upper 60's (no gun around thankfully) - but kid supposedly been clocked at 68. It's a whole new world in youth baseball than when any of us grew up.
Tebow had a fun time in LF -- on a routine single to left, Timmy's knee hit his glove hand and knocked the ball away (a clean hit as far as that official scorer was concerned). Eventually that run came around and was charged to Blake. Next at bat, to his credit Tebow beat out an infield roller (SS given an error on the play), stole a base and came around to score. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.

It's a very poor offensive roster void of talent. Just using the NYFS top 50 prospects list
Lindsay 6
Carpio 18
Ali Sanchez 20 (100% based on scouting reports and not production which has been absolutely awful dating back over 1 full season. He hasn't homered once since 2014...)
are the only legitimate prospects with Paez a "maybe" as a utility player.
Tebow actually has a solid first 4 games, with 2 HRs and a hit in every game.
Since then, in his last 7 games, Tebow has really struggled having just 3 hits in 24 ABs, 2 BB and 5 Ks.

have no issue with Tebow but the truth is despite that first AB homer, last 10 games .171/.244/.317. Props for being able to make contact vs. professional pitchers but he's just not a baseball player Link - ( New Window )

He's not blocking anyone and has no negative impact in any way. Just pretty clear given his total lack of secondary skills that he's not a "prospect". That's fine. He's enjoying himself and his teammates love it (as do the fans).
Tebow 0-2, 2 k's
Carpio 0-1, BB, K, SB, surprisingly already has 6 steals for a guy not known for much speed, presumably a smart baserunner
McGowan looked really good last Saturday night. I didn't really know who he was because I couldn't see his number as all the 51 guys were wearing "42". It was one of those "Who is this guy" thing!
I'm going to keep a closer eye on him; especially how he pitches against really good hitters in PSL.
Christian Arroyo (21 years old)of the Sacramento team looks and plays older - perhaps, at least that night, better than our 21 year old guy, Rosario
Rosario bounced a throw to first on a routine two hopper. Smith made a great pick to save an error. Later, Rosario mis timed a jump on a line drive that I thought he should have caught.
Smith does not look 6 foot as listed in scorecard - shorter - maybe it is just his body style. He does play a really good first base defensively.
Tebow 0-3, 3 k's #Mets

Speaking of developing secondary skills, one aspect I thought he might be somewhat decent at would be stealing bases. He's not a track star but had decent speed and ran a 4.71 forty. I thought he'd be a guy who could steal 15-20 bases and possible come in late in a game as a pinch runner.
Although so far he hasn't even attempted even though he's gotten on base a fair amount of times.
Urena is technically in his 3rd season in St. Lucie. He's off to a nice start. If he can stay at 3b he's arguably their #2 best 3b prospect behind Tiberi (along with Thompson). If he's a 1b he's far less interesting.
