We play 3 teams coming off a bye week plus one team coming off the mini-bye week. I don't think I've ever seen that before.
Week 6 against the Broncos. Broncos on bye week 5
Week 7 against Seahawks. Seahawks on bye week 6.
Week 9 against Rams. Rams (and us) on bye week 8.
...(this one is really just a missed opportunity to play someone off our bye)
Week 11 against Chiefs. Chiefs on bye week 10.
Week 14 against Cowboys. Cowboys play Thursday week 13 (mini bye)
That's a tough schedule. All teams have advantage games and disadvantage games. I don't think I've ever seen a team get stuck with 4 games against bye or Thursday teams with no advantage on their own bye. Wow
The Giants are the team yu don't want to see on your schedule. For example the Raider game, they are about the passing game well the Giants secondary if healthy will be the challenge not the Raider receiving corp. The Raider weakness their secondary, well if the Giants receiving corp is healthy it will get ugly.
Week one against Dallas totally revamp secondary, revamped right side of OL and revamped DL. It isn't going to be as close as last season.
Seattle, I think the Giants D will be the bully as the season progress. Russell Wilson will not have the room to roam against this D.
I just don't think that the fan base really understands what the D ceiling may really be. Outside of Hankins it is returning in tacked with increase speed. I think that the secondary will surpass Denver and Seattle. If the O can average 21 PG the Giants will be very tough to beat no matter who is the opponent.

Losing Hankins hurts. We can't afford a slippage in our run defense.
But it will all be worth it if they end up putting "the fifth trophy in the case," as McAdoo's mantra goes.
It would be NFL Champs ninth trophy, not fifth.
I think we know exactly what McAdoo means when he's talking about a fifth trophy... the case at the team facility only holds the Super Bowl era championship trophies.

Oakland will not be easy.
Seattle will not be hard to defeat. On the road, and Wilson is overrated, esp. against good secondaries.

That is the part of the schedule that sucks. Although I think people overrate teams coming off a bye.
Week 11 against Chiefs. Chiefs on bye week 10.

Those empty Eagles trophy case memes will need to be thrown out then. ;)
