and he never found that step he lost 2 years ago when Amukamara broke his foot. Add in age, and he's probably about a step and a half slower. Unless he adapts his game to be more like and Anquan Boldin, Dez is going to flame out when he hits 30.

It amazes me that "professionals" like Bryant seem to focus more on/get up for an individual matchup to show who's better than to use their skills to...I don't know...maybe lead their team to a championship? Yet more "look at me" behavior, which is what Odell would be getting villified for if this was him making such a statement.
No one cares about "bulletin board" material, that's what guys like Rex Ryan try to sell in locker rooms.
Dez could be trying to plan an early seed to get in Jenkins' head. He's also virtually guaranteed to have a better 2 games against Jenkins than last year so there's that as well.
and Dez has provided ample grist for the mill over the years...but truth is, he's turned out to be a much more consistent performer and professional adult than I think a lot of us would have predicted.
Sure, he's always good for some sideline antics and random comments like this, but he hasn't done anything really stupid off the field, and health-permitting remains one of the best WRs in football on it.

Let me put it in perspective for you. Babe Ruth is one of the most legendary figures in all of sports. One of his most iconic plays is when he called his shot and then hit a home run. People glorify that moment all the time and in essence he was doing the same thing ..... talking junk before he actually performed the act. There's nothing new under the sun that's because since the beginning of time man has always been lead by their ego and pride, the only difference now is that it is being covered by more outlets then ever before.
