Q: Howís everything going for you so far?

A: Everything is going great. Thereís no complaint from me. Itís a blessing in itself and Iím just happy to be here.

Q: Has B.J. Goodson been a guy thatís been able to help you?

A: I havenít even talked to B.J. The last time I talked to B.J. was maybe a couple of weeks ago at Clemson. Really just been finding my way around, trying to keep a low profile and going over the playbook.

Q: Talk to any of the running backs that are here?

A: I met Darkwa (yesterday).

Q: Whatís going to be the biggest jump for you from college to the pros?

A: Learning this playbook. Itís a really in-depth playbook. I see the difference. If you want to come and play here, of course, you have to play special teams, but before you make that contribution, you have to learn that playbook.

Q: What about pass protection?

A: Of course. Iím going to do my best. Iíve been working on it in my time off. I know thatís a big emphasis in the NFL. I work on it.

Q: Any impressions on the Giants offense before you came here?

A: I watched a couple of games last year. Iím cool with Odell. I talked to him a couple times last year. Just what the Giants bring. Of course theyíre a playoff team. Who doesnít want to be on a playoff team. Coach McAdoo and the coaching staff really just welcome you in for who you are. Iím real comfortable already.

Q: How have you gotten to know Odell?

A: Just hit me up last year before the season. He gave me an inspiration-type thing. I didnít even know he was watching me, but over time Iíve gotten real cool with him. Itís nothing on a major level.

Q: He hit you up on social media?

A: Twitter.

Q: Was it surprising to have Odell reaching out to you?

A: Of course. I hold myself to my own level. I know other players do as well. It just comes with the territory.

Q: McAdoo was talking a lot about your versatility when he drafted you. Is that how you see yourself? Where do you see your game?

A: For my game, I just think Iím a guy that can do pretty much anything a team needs. Whether thatís contributing on special teams or getting reps in at running back, Iím going to do the best I can at anything I do.

Q: Whatís it like going through this process with Dalvin Tomlinson considering you two have played in the past two National Championship games against each other?

A: We talked about it once. Heís not trying to talk about it because we just beat him. Dalvin is cool. Heís a real down to earth guy. Our whole group has gotten really close. We stick together.

Q: Do you know Paul Perkins at all?

A: He hit me up on Twitter also.

Q: Before or after the draft?

A: After the draft, welcoming me to the room and everything. I havenít seen him up here. Iíll get associated with those guys really quick.

Q: Whatís it like going from the national title to getting drafted? What have these last six months been like for you?

A: I would say there was a lot of stress in it. Thereís a lot of stress that shouldnít be concerned. Iím happy to be where I am. Iím really happy I graduated and then left so I donít have to go back to school. Itís all within itself.

Q: You mean just having to be at a lot of places all the time?

A: Yes. Once you take a step back and really look at it, you realize what youíre doing and how big of an impact that is on other people.

Q: Anything surprise you here so far?

A: The food is great. Itís really good. Yesterday we had a lot of stuff. Meatloaf. Not everyone can make meatloaf, but it was good meatloaf.

Q: Whatís your impression of what they are expecting from you as a running back in this offense?

A: To bring that championship quality. I believe that I can help them win championships. The Super Bowl, of course. When they tell me that, that makes me want to put that much more work in, whether itís learning the playbook or just getting back on the field.
It's true.

They didn't serve meatloaf at Clemson. It's no wonder he's happy the Giants drafted him. A playoff team and meatloaf. Does it get any better than that?
