They ran my social security # and found out I have $840.00 in unclaimed state tax rebates. I paid a $95 filing fee and will have a check sent to me in several months...

I hope it works out for you, but how long ago did you sent someone $95 under the assumption they would send back $840?
The television/movie trope of avoiding service of process is disconnected from reality. It is a waste of time. If you avoid a process server, they can serve someone who lives with you or nail it to your door + mail it, or get permission from a judge to do other stuff (rules vary by state).

I also ran your social security number and found you have $10 million in a Nigerian bank account. If you mail me a check for the $10,000 processing fee you will receive your windfall via check in 30 days.
They act as intermediaries for a well-known Nigerian price (anyone in the know can easily verify his identity on Google). I made a $95 loan and will have a check sent to me for $85,000 in several months

Clearly. The other poster mentioned it was a nice pull. I believe (at least mine) or all of us were being sarcastic as well.
