Boomer predicts Giants-NE Super Bowl & Vegas is not far off

gogiants : 6/16/2017 9:06 pm
On WFAN this morning Boomer threw out his pick for the Super Bowl as Giants-NE. The Vegas odds reported June 12th had a Giants-NE matchup at 12-1. It was one of their top five matchups. A Giants-Jets matchup is at 1000-1.

Odds don't reflect likelihood, right?

They've factored in the public's betting interest. I think the Giants are more likely than the Cowboys, but not as likely as GB or Seattle.

You are correct. As of June 9th Giants are 20-1 to win SB.
I hope not.

Obviously I want us in. But enough of NE. Let's beat someone else. Pitt or maybe Oakland.

Seattle? Are you kidding? That team is old, doesnt protect the passer, cant run the ball that well and does not have any game breaking threats on O. Sherman cannot cover ODB alone and Thomas is showing tons of wear.

No I am not saying Seattle is a team of push overs, but if our offense is even marginally better than last year, we beat them handily.

Green Bay Im not AS confident about. But if our offense is as good looking as it is on paper this year, we win a shoot out against them. Green Bay in Green Bay is a tough one, but they can be had by a good offense.
DRC stays on the field vs GB

Game is far closer and who knows win.

This year....we got better then them.

This year....AFC teams are only ones that concern me

NE and Pittsburgh would be tough match ups
How do I place a bet
grizz299 : 6/17/2017 5:06 am : link
on the Giants and get some of that 20-1 action and does that really mean that $50. returns 10,000.?
What happens if the odds change, is the bet I made locked at the odds that existed at the time I placed it?
Sorry, but I've never placed a bet in my life, but I'd love to this year.
You have an extra zero there

50 X 20 = 1000

Call me crazy but I think this team is better than 20 to 1 odds. $1k to win 20k.. that's tempting.
I am not betting us
LCtheINTMachine : 6/17/2017 12:02 pm : link
I do think we will win it all but those odds are not great enough for me to do it.
I was in Vegas two weeks ago
JerseyCityJoe : 6/17/2017 12:58 pm : link
I placed $40- for the Giants to win it all. Odds as stated 20-1.

Sign me up for Pitt. Would be a classic from one of the most controversial drafts in years. The rapist v The Alter Boy. Eli puts the critics to rest. Would be great.
Not Just DRC Getting Hurt

If the WRs hold on to a few catchable TDs and 3rd down catches against GB, the Giants have a double digit lead and this defense plays way different against Rodgers with a double digit lead, I'm surprised Atlanta doesn't get more respect here. They really should have won it all except for the coaches brain fart
thanks, the missing zero was on the $50.00
grizz299 : 6/17/2017 2:33 pm : link
So how do I go about it?
The on-line parlours look shady.. Can I call Vegas? Used to be a member of a country club where the book was treated like a national treasure, but never went there and have never been interested.
Damn there's 32 teams in the league that means if all the teams were equal the odds would be 32 -1. Looking at that logic 20-1 for a team that I regard (offensive line excepted and I think that may be a surprise)as the best or near best team in football is a steal.
Thoughts, advise?
Same deal

since Tawana Brawley. It doesn't go away . Lives are ruined . Punishment is light, a joke , actually. I read above a libel suit and laugh. That's remedied by a default judgment . The defendants don't even bother to respond to the complaint . A quick bankruptcy proceeding and begin anew.

What's needed is a new law for these types of false charges . Something like paying 10% of your gross earnings every pay period for the rest of your life . No bankruptcy allowed . Keep paying . And if the plaintiffs die, pay the estates . Oh and as for the no apologize side of this farce- should have meant two years to them . The judge was a puke.

Fifty dollars returns a thousand, not $10,000. By federal law, sports betting is allowed in only four states: Nevada, Oregon, Montana, and Delaware. You can however, place this bet online. The way I'd play it is to put $1000 on the Pats at 7-2 and $1000 on the Giants at 20-1. If the Giants win, you win $19,000. If the Pats win, you get your Giants bet back with a little bit extra.
