Here's the U.S. roster:
Goalkeepers (3): Brad Guzan, Bill Hamid, Sean Johnson
Defenders (8): Matt Besler, Omar Gonzalez, Matt Hedges, Eric Lichaj, Matt Miazga, Justin Morrow, Jorge Villafaña, Graham Zusi
Midfielders (9): Kellyn Acosta, Paul Arriola, Alejandro Bedoya, Joe Corona, Dax McCarty, Cristian Roldan, Kelyn Rowe, Kenny Saief, Gyasi Zardes
Forwards (3): Juan Agudelo, Dom Dwyer, Jordan Morris
The U.S. is in Group B along with Panama, Nicaragua, and Martinique. This, obviously, should be the toughest of the group stage matches.
Go U.S.A.
Nothing at stake, good opportunity to showcase some second tier guys to fill out the 23 for Russia (hopefully), and the MLS guys are mid-season, so they're more fit.
The whole right side of the team is useless.
The biggest thing at stake is erasing the shit taste in their mouths from the last Gold Cup debacle.
Just 2017 gold cup champs.
The US should advance past this group stage, and they can bring in 3 reinforcements, who I would imagine would be some of the A team guys.
Talk about tweedle dee and tweedle dumb
