isn't a generational talent. He's looked really good, but I think Ball maybe special in a way we haven't seen in awhile. He has looked spectacular.
Fox has looked good too. Ntillikina better be the goods. We passed on some good guards in Smith and Mitchell and an interesting big in collins to draft him.
Lonzo didn't really miss anything. Lonzo hasn't played full court since the tournament, he even said he was starting to get his legs back. I'm kind of glad to see he didn't push it. Wonder what's going on with him wearing the adaidas James Hardens. Very interesting he said at BBB they are allowed to wear whatever they want.
I say how great Donovan Mitchell looks and I get ripped saying it's only summer league, now everyone is saying Ball is Going to be a star based on summer league games. By the way I agree ball is going to be a stud and so is donoval Mitchell. Just very different players.
the Celtics were guard-heavy but with only one scorer on the team. They needed another scorer, as opposed to a distributor. Of course now, they're SF-heavy but on draft night there was no guarantee about Hayward.
Frank didn't play in the summer league is just so Knicks. You have all these other guys lighting it up - granted it's SL but at the very least you have excitement. Frank tweaks a knee in practice and literally doesn't play. Unreal.
I am so excited for this season and to be able to watch Lonzo
every night. Things are finally starting to turn around for this team. As a Lakers fan these last few years have been extremely difficult to get through. You guys don't even understand. It's been so long and I'm ready to get back to winning.

I think everyone agrees the Lakers have suffered enough. Can't think of another franchise deserving of more success.
People out-thought Ball the last few months. His father, perception, the final four tourney last March...some of that all of it, whatever. The Sixers will live to regret passing on Ball. Fulz better be great for Philly's sake.

runs an uptempo game and has great court vision and great instincts in a fast-paced style. That's perfect for Summer League against defenses that don't have any cohesion and are young talents, most of whom won't make the NBA.
To Ball's credit, he is very team-first and he, too, is young and will grow. But dominating summer league is a far cry from the NBA.
I like watching his offense, but it's hard to reconcile that with how much I loathe his father and everything he stands for.
(The laker brass was saw the true him ... with his fake groin injury)
LMAO, it's fucking Summer League. Caruso embarrassed Fox in the game Ball missed. From my vantage point, Lonzo has court vision we have not seen from a prospect since Jason Kidd. Despite all the bluster from Lavar, the kid keeps his mouth shut, gets everyone involved, pushes the tempo. He topped 10 assists in 3 straight games, which is unprecedented in Summer League, and is well on pace to set the record for assists per game.

I have a feeling Lavar is going to be making a lot of us eat our own words. I've started to see more of him, and I've done a 180 on Lavar. Lonzo was asked if this wearing different sneakers business was part of some "master plan" and he said you could say that. I have a feeling Lonzo is going to get an unprecedented offer from one of the big shoe brands, and perhaps get a partnership for BBB instead of of a small amount for a sponsorship.
If anything, Ball's summer league has given more ammo to his doubters than supporters. We all knew he was an otherworldly passer in the open court, but wondered how he would do running an NBA team in half court. He is averaging 0.66 pts per half court possession, shooting 35% and 20% from 3. He's missed 38 of 50 jump shots! That is brutal.
It's a small sample size to be sure, but I continue to doubt whether he will be able to create his own shot at this level. His mechanics SUCK. He's not an elite athlete, so he is going to need to overhaul his shot to have a chance to be even good, no less great.
as a nets fan he makes some passes that remind me of kidd.
his defense is embarrassing. worse then bad.
His shot is a work in progress, especially when its contested.
his ability to orchestrate an offense is pretty special however.
I'm not a fan of his on the ball defense, but his length and coordination makes him ok in the passing lanes. KCP will be guarding the best guy in the back court, so you can hide him to a degree. With that said, I don't think Lonzo is a terrible on ball defender, his conditioning looked off to me.
He said himself a day or two ago that he is tired and having to get used to the grind of professional workouts and practice with games on consecutive nights.
I'm big on Kyle Kuzma. He gives us a lot of versatility. Looks like he can keep up with 2's, 3's, and 4's. I'm not sure what his true position is, but now we might have either Randle or Nance Jr expendable if he can cut into their minutes.
but fatigue is not what makes him a poor defender. His defense was poor in college. his instincts guarding the basketball are not great.
the lakers will do a good job hiding it, and he likely will be able to play more of a gamble position. But he is not a good defender.
as a pure PG offensively--- he looks special.
Kuzma looks great. Love how he plays, and he will be able to do some stretch 4 as he becomes a better rebounder. Perfect fit for the modern NBA.

Right, because Tatum looks like he's going to suck.
