NFT: Restaurant Near Wellmont Theatre Montclair

Samiam : 7/15/2017 2:41 pm
Looking for a good Chinese restaurant near Wellmont but according to Yelp, there aren't any which I find hard to believe. If that's true, there are some good reviews for Thai or Indian near the theatre but I thought I would ask here first. I'm not familiar with the area. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance

I go to the Wellmont I eat at Fin Raw Bar...not what you are looking for but a pretty good seafood place.
I don't know of any sit down Chinese restaurants within walking

distance, but there are good thai restaurants right on Bloomfield Ave., not far from the theater. I'm a big fan of Nori if you want sushi. Lots of good restaurants in the vicinity. My favorite Chinese restaurant in the area is Chengdu in Verona, which is sit down. It's probably 5 minutes from the theater.
Chengdu...?

The gentleman above references a Chengdu restaurant in Verona. I have been out of NJ for a (very) long time, but there is/was a Chengdu on Rt 46 in Clifton that we frequented. Have they now opened one in Verona?

My apologies to the original poster for straying off-topic.
Spice II is pretty good Thai, Fujiya Ramen is good

if you like that kind of thing. My favorite restaurants in the area Fascino (italian) and Pig & Prince (farm-to-table).

get the pork buns

I've traveled all over the world/country ... it's the best bite of food I've ever had.

and it's almost impossible to spend $100 on dinner - everything is cheap, especially for north jersey
