Eli, Ben, Rivers all poised to join the 50,000-yard club

JimNY56 : 7/16/2017 3:46 am
Eli Manning currently has 48,218 yards, which means he’s estimated to reach 50,000 around the 6th game this year and will become the 7th NFL QB to reach the 50,000-yard club. Later in the year Ben and Rivers should also join the 50,000 yard-club.

Looking at that 2004 draft,
Doomster : 7/16/2017 10:41 am : link
it turned out to be a great draft for the first round....3 qb's in the top 11, that have had very successful careers.....drafts like that don't dome around that often....
2004 is great, but I'd still take 1983 though
PatersonPlank : 7/16/2017 11:50 am : link
Elway, Kelly, Marino, Blackledge, O'Brien, Tony Eason.
2004 draft was excellent. I don't know what avg is but

Eli, Ben, Fitz, and Wilfork are HoF.

Rivers has been a very good franchise QB for a shitty franchise.

Sean Taylor would have certainly made things interesting.

All of that barely halfway through the 1st. Don't know how many HOFers you can ever expect, but that's a haul.
Forget the QBs
DennyInDenville : 7/16/2017 12:48 pm : link
You can create a super bowl team with that draft and have 2 of the QBs as backups, Eli as the 4th quarter guy.

Lol.

Amazing draft class tho, especially round 1 and 2.

Wow.

Lot of those round 1 guys still playing too really old like deangelo Hall

Those QBs tho.. I remember it like yesterday . Wanting Sean Taylor.

Glad EA had massive balls. Im certain Rivers or Big Ben would have been good as well.. but Eli is a great man and easy to root for. I love him.

Sean Taylor

I really wish we got to see him develop / play out his career

Having said that, I'd prefer if it wasn't in Washington ... he was an incredible talent.
Rivers

Wants to play 4 more years at least.

8 kids must be expensive ...
Yeah

Larry Fitzgerald that year too, who's probably heading to the Hall in his own right.

And while he never lived up to the hype, Robert Gallery did carve out a nice NFL career.
Damn

Looking at it now...

7 of the top 8 made Pro Bowls, and 13 of the top 21.

That's a hell of a draft.

Why would you include Blackledge and Eason?

And if you include O'Brien for 1983, you have to include Matt Schaub for 2004.

I thought the same thing ...great point
To be fair..
FatMan in Charlotte : 7/19/2017 12:45 pm : link
Eason was in the NFL 8 years and Blackledge 7 years. While neither ended up being great starters, it isn't like they were total busts.

So then the 2004 class notables should include Matt Schaub, JP Losman, and Luke McCown.
Yes...
FatMan in Charlotte : 7/19/2017 1:12 pm : link
technically, the top drafted players should be listed to give a fair representation. Hell, Luke McCown played until he was 34. He obviously wasn't a great NFL QB, but he stuck around the league.
And Schaub..
FatMan in Charlotte : 7/19/2017 1:14 pm : link
played the better part of 6 years as a starter and played until he was 35. And he actually led the league is certain stats a few years. He is definitely worth inclusion.
