Q: Good to see former defensive end Michael Strahen out there?
A: Yeah.
Q: What was his message?
A: Just keep working hard. Extra work.
Q: How has camp been going for you so far?
A: Going good.
Q: Do you feel a difference physically?
A: Yeah, I feel it. Every day it gets better out there.
Q: How do you feel?
A: I am not as tired as I was before and you get better every year.
Q: How do you think today was?
A: Today was a good day. I think it was one of our longer practices.
Q: For you personally? One of your better days?
A: I think it went pretty good.
Q: Do you feel like this is a big year for you?
A: Yeah.
Q: Why?
A: Why wouldn’t it?
Q: Bigger than others though?
A: I mean every year I feel like is a big year.
Q: Do you feel like you have something to prove?
A: Who doesn’t feel like they have something to prove?
Q: What is it like going up against OV (Olivier Vernon) every day?
A: Oh, he’s good. I think he is one of the best defense ends in the league.
Q: Does he help you?
A: Yeah, he helps me a lot. We talk about different things that he does.
Q: What kind of tips does he give you?
A: Different pass rushes that he uses, what to do against it, how to help me against it.
Q: How much do you weigh right now?
A: That’s not to be talked about.
Q: Any particular reason why?
A: Yeah, I just don’t feel the need to talk about it.
Q: Are you at the weight you want to be at?
A: Yeah, I am. It’s camp, so you lose a little bit but I am right where I want to be.
Q: How does working against OV help you specifically?
A: Oh, it helps me. Like I said, I think he is one of the best defense ends in the league.
Q: What does he help you with specifically?
A: Practice hard.
Q: Is there anything specific you have been trying to work on in camp?
A: I have been trying to work on hand placement, pass protection.
Q: Are you spending a lot of time talking to Justin (Pugh)?
A: Yeah, every day. We all look to each other.
Q: How important is hand speed?
A: Oh, that’s important, too. They are all important, trying to get them to work together. This is the first time we are wearing pads in months, so every day it’s getting better and feeling more comfortable.
Q: What were you talking about with DJ Fluker during practice?
A: I was taking a couple sets, so he was giving me a look before we were gonna do 7-on-7.
Q: Do you feel like you are seeing the results of the work you put in during the offseason?
A: I see myself improving every day out here at camp. First I started off a little bit and now I see me getting a lot better every day.
Q: Where did you train between minicamp and training camp?
A: I trained here, went back to my camp. Between here and Miami.
Q: Do you think fatigue was an issue last year?
A: No, I do not think it necessarily was an issue, but I do think that being in the best shape always helps.
Q: Have you been getting good feedback from the coaches?
A: Oh yeah. They are looking at me to go out there every day and get better.
Q: What are your expectations for yourself this year?
A: To play the best I know I can play.
Q: Does Eli show confidence in you?
A: Eli shows confidence in everybody, that’s why he is a good teammate.
...make fun of the way this guy speaks.
Not gonna make fun of the way he blocks.
He's a draft bust at #9, and that ain't no laughing matter.

You are so fucking predictable...
Why do we have to like/love the players? I'll expect for them to do their job. I'll root for them to excel at their job as it impacts the team's success. It doesn't mean that we have to like them.

Whether you like him or not, learn to love him, because he's our starting LT today, tomorrow, and for the rest of the 2017 season.

Do you think there's a single Giants' fan who hopes otherwise?

Hey buddy, you've been away for quite awhile, at least on FTs..Hope you're well
under his skin .
Hopefully he gets some of his issues under control and is
much more consistant and with Ellison he can get some help
with the speed rushers if he starts having problems .
We need him to keep the early heat off Eli we will have a
big play offense back again .
He's a tough kid who plays hurt, and is still very young. Hopefully things will click for him eventually. If not at OT, he'll be a OG, but it's unlikely he's going anywhere unless they Fluker him at the end of his rookie contract.
