NGT: Patriots send playoff tix to season ticket holders

Steve L : 8/6/2017 9:43 am
From the Rochester beat writer for the Bills. The balls of this team. I don't know whether to hate it or love the confidence.

"If you needed another reason to despise the New England Patriots, here’s one. They sent their season tickets out to the fans who purchased them and included along with the eight regular-season games are tickets for the divisional playoff round and the AFC Championship Game. The championship game ticket actually has the date — Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018 — and Gillette Stadium, printed right on there."
Exactly who is going to dethrone them

Just don't go printing 19-0 t-shirts yet

I could see the Steelers beating them.
The three other AFC teams should be ashamed of themselves

Taunting in the NFL is a penalty but for an organization I guess its ok? I like the confidence until someone in that pathetic division decides to not be the red headed stepchild I don’t see it changing much.

With that said it is a pretty classless thing to do as a whole. But you have to give them credit they are inventive last week for Brady’s birthday they had a petting zoo for fans attending of all goats.
Hubris!

The unmitigated gall! this must be dealt with forthwith.
The balls?

How exactly is this "ballsy" when New England wins, especially the division, all the time?

And Lol at anyone near the Bills franchise thinking that Buffalo will do anything about it. Patriots will win the division with 12 wins, have home field. Same old, same old.
Sooner or later...

Pats are the best organization in the NFL. They have a great QB, the GOAT HC, they play in a shit division and they're entirely comfortable with cheating. But, they're also one of the luckiest teams in the history of sports. I know, I know, fortune favors the prepared and all that, sure enough. Not taking anything away from their extraordinary preparedness. For the most part, they deserve their success. But sooner or later their luck has to turn. Right?

Nope. Steelers are a joke as well. I barely watched that Steelers/Pats game because I knew New England was going to win in predictable fashion. I would’ve placed a bet to set myself on fire “if” New England had lost and didn’t make it to the Super Bowl for $1.50 in return.

All those other AFC teams “in the running” in the running can suck an ass as well. I can’t even remember who else was that second level threat for New England anyway last year, The Chiefs? The Brock Oswelier Texans? Fucking laughable.

Thank goodness that ONE team beat them in the SB, twice!
I wonder how many championships they win if they were in the NFC?

NFC’s Super Bowl team since New England began their reign of terror has been a bunch of different teams. Mainly teams I guess (too lazy to look it up) who failed to make the playoffs the following season. Except for that Flacco/Ravens SB, every year it has been Brady, Big Ben, and Peyton. Not much of a variety in the AFC, lol.

The NFC is now more of a tough road to get to the Super Bowl because of the obvious threats, you don’t really want to play IN Seattle or at Green Bay vs Rodgers, sure they’re winnable but not the ideal places for a team to visit on the road, in the playoffs. Unlike…The Cowboys? Thats why I was so pissed the Giants played GB in the first round, just unlucky. I was 150% sure Giants would’ve pancaked them again in the playoffs. I want them this year in the playoffs.

But yeah, the Afc is a joke now Peyton is gone. New England will be in the SB without any issues.

it this year too and they are by no means a sure thing for the postseason. A friend of mine posted pics on FB. Of course, I had to respond with a Jim Mora meme. (Playoffs?! You kiddin me?!)

I think it falls somewhere between confidence and practicality. It probably saves money to print the tickets all at once.

It's a great move

Get the fans money up front. Pure genius since NFL fans will pay whatever they are asked since they are so addicted.

The only mistake is not printing the date of the divisional which will be the Saturday before since Robert Kraft always requests that to get an extra day of rest and his butt buddy Goodell approves it.

If you think that Kraft and Goodell are still "buddies" then you haven't been paying attention.

I don't think Goodell and Kraft are "butt buddies" any longer

They're not getting the money up front.

According to a Patriots spokesman, fans have the opportunity to request “pay as you go” playoff tickets with their season ticket packages. If their team makes the playoffs, they get charged for the tickets; if not, they just have a fun bit of alternative history to go with their Patriots Super Bowl XLII Champs t-shirt.

Interesting and unexpected that an NFL team wouldn't fleece the fans.

If Goodell really wanted to be vindictive to the Pats, he would make them play the divisional on Sunday. It's well known raft always requests Saturday night and the NFL approves it. Also because the Pats get huge ratings that night but it's proof that Goodell isn't out to "get" the Pats like their idiot fan base thinks.

That was when the Super Bowl was at Met Life.. Thank god we sucked that year, put us in a spot to draft Beckham Jr... started 0-6, finished 7-9... That team had no shot, roster was trash, injuries killed, Nicks's game fell all the way off... David Wilson disaster.. Tuck got old... This team today would embarrass that team of 2013-14.

them.

I am tired of them.
I am tired of Tom Brady
Tired of Gronk
Tired of Edelman
Tired of Bob Kraft and Mark Wahlberg.

I hope we play them in the Superbowl and blow them the fuck out.
Some of you aren't really getting this.
LakeGeorgeGiant : 8/6/2017 3:23 pm : link
Whether or not they win the division is besides the point. The point is that it's a move devoid of class from an organization devoid of clasd.

I still say the little Bill connection blinds some of the older fans around here.

And what makes you think the NFL is supposed to be classy? It's all about winning and BB would cut his mother-in-law to win the Super Bowl. And you have players committing suicide and the league doesn't care.

The NFL isn't about class, it's about money. But for us fans, it about winning it all.

With 16 games to play, you never know what can happen. And there is always the injuries....the great equalizer.
